Nathan's POV

I stared at the prince, and he glanced at me, then quickly looked away, his cheeks a bright red.

I continued to stare at the prince.

Hmm... When should I give him the present?

Now?

No... I want to give it to him when we're alone....

I looked at Jack, who was staring at me.

He quickly smiled and wrapped his arms around my arm.

"Uh...."

I mumbled, looking down at London.

She shrugged.

"I'll come!!"

Jack shouted.

I sighed softly.

"If Jack's going then I'm going."

London nodded.

"I'm going to go back to the castle and do some stuff, so you go ahead, guys."

Oliver said, waving and riding away toward the stables with all of the food.

"Let's get going, then."

The prince said, riding off in front of all of us.

I followed after the boy with the grey eyes and Amy.

London looked at me, and I pulled up to the front, right next to the prince.

He looked over at me with wide eyes.

"Which part of town are we going to?"

London asked the prince.

"Berlin."

He told her.

London looked down at her feet.

"That's where my mother is."

There was something in her voice... Pain?

I let go of the reins and hugged London.

"I'll be with you, London, it's fine."

She looked back at me.

I nodded.

We got to Berlin after half an hour.

We all hopped off our horses, looking around.

London suddenly started running.

I ran after her.

She ran into one of the houses.

I heard a scream.

I ran into the house, my eyes widening.

London was crouched down on the ground, her eyes wide open, staring at a person on the ground.

A woman covered in glass and blood.

A dead woman.

The mother of London.

"...mother...!"

London cried, scrambling before her mother, but before she touched her, I grabbed London.

I brought her tightly to my chest.

"MOTHER!!!"

She screamed, trying to push me away.

I hugged her tightly.

She continued flailing in my arms.

"London..."

I whispered, my eyes tearing up.

"She's dead."

London's eyes widened, as she quieted.

"...d-dead?"

I hugged her tighter.

Tears streamed from her eyes as she cried silently in my arms.

The others stared at the body silently.

Suddenly, the door banged open.

"GIVE US THE GIRL!!!!"

3 people screamed, lunging toward us.

I let go of London, blocking the people from her.

"Never."

I growled, punching one in the face.

The 2 others lunged at me, and I grabbed the sword from the prince's waist, stabbing one of the men in the stomach.

They continued lunging at me, and I quickly stabbed them.

They dropped to the ground and I threw the sword to the ground.

I closed my eyes, and suddenly felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist.

I looked behind me, seeing London hugging me.

I turned around and crouched down, hugging her back.

"Thank you, Nathan."

London cried softly.

I patted her head.

"No problem."
