Rileys pov

How have just arrived home from a very long drive. Too bad faith is asleep, she can't see all the Christmas light lit up around the neighborhood.
They're beautiful!
Each individual light bulb lit with just enough power.

I take faith out of her car seat and carry her wrapped in her blanket and with bear secure in her arms. I open the door to the apartment and walk up the stairs to her room. I tuck her into her bed, turn on her nigh light, and kiss her forehead "goodnight my angel" I whisper to her. She smiles , and I walk out to help Josh get the stuff out of his car.

"Here let me get that" I grab my suitcase from him.
"Thanks, hey have you gotten any texts from them?"
"Yeah, Lucas said they are at a hotel a few blocks over and that they would meet us at the cafe in the morning!"
"That sounds great!"
We walk in and put the keys on the hood in front of our entrance.
"Goodnight!"
"Goodnight" we share a small kiss, and I bring my stuff upstairs.

I put my suitcase next to my closet and put my pajamas on. I head to my bathroom to wash my face and then I just crash in my bed.

[morning]

My alarm goes off, 6:30 on the dot. I put on my clothes, do some makeup, put my favorite pair of boots on, and go into Faith's room to find her picking out something to wear.

"Mommy, which sweater should I wear? This green one, or this red one?"
"Definitely the green one!"
"Thanks mommy"
"No problem, now let's hurry, I left your shoes downstairs by the door and Josh is changing, I have to open the cafe in 30 minutes"
"Okay okay I'm hurrying"

I run downstairs and Josh is getting his shoes on. I get my shoes on and run back upstairs to grab faiths back pack with all of her toys, coloring books, just things that keep her entertained.
She comes down the stairs with bear and his little leash that we bought him for his birthday. Yes. A stuffed toy has a birthday. But he's part of the family!
I help her put on her coat and Josh and I put ours on as well.
We head out the door and walk to the cafe.
We open it and put our belongings upstairs in the office above the cafe. Faith wants to work today so she has decided to put her back pack on the couch upstairs.
Bear is sitting on the desk by the window looking. Down at the people bellow him keeping watch she says.
She says he is working too.
I started to teach her how to write when she was three. Now she is almost five and her handwriting has improved. She is pretty advanced for a kid her age but she likes learning.

I go behind the counter and help faith put on her apron. She asked me if she could carry a drink out to people today. But of course I said no. I told her she has to wait until she is seven to carry drinks to people. I don't wanna risk her dropping anything and cutting herself trying to pick up the pieces. Every once in a while I will let her carry out a glass of water to a few tables but that's is. She's a good little girl. She accepts the no's and thanks the yes's. And she knows that if she doesn't follow the rules, I'll separate her and bear. And bear is her best friend.

An hour goes by at the cafe and the place is packed. Even the outside tables! I put a reserved sign on one of the couches for the gang so that they wouldn't have to wait. But it's still packed. There is like maybe one or two counter seats left but that's it.
The gang arrives shortly and I tell them to sit on the couch.

"So what can I get you guys?"
They all order and I write it down.

Orders
Zay- herbal tea with scone
Maya- latte with a muffin
Farkle- coconut hot chocolate no whip with breakfast sandwich of the day
Lucas- black coffee with a jalapeño cheese bagel

"I'll be right back with your orders"

I hand faith a tray with all of their food. The plates aren't glass so they won't break.

I watch as she brings it to them.
"A scone for uncle zay, a muffin for aunt Maya, a sandwich for uncle Farkle, and a bagel for uncle Lucas"
I look at Lucas and his smile slowly faded. It's not like he wants to be more than an uncle, does he?

I let it roll off my back and come with their drinks.

I hand everyone their drinks and I bring over some chairs I had in the back.

"So how do you guys like it here so far?"
"It's pretty cool, and your right, it is a small place"
"Way wayyyy different than newyork"
"Last nigh, I actually saw stars! Kinda like when we all went to Texas......."
There was an odd period I of silence.
"Well when you guys are finished we can all maybe hang out upstairs in the cafe office? We have a pool table, air hockey, fooseball, flat screen tv, some arcade games! it's pretty chill!"
"Cool!" They all continue eating

They all finish up their food and we take them upstairs. I put a worker in charge and tell her there are chairs in the back if she needs them for tables.

"So this is the office guys!"
"Wooahh" they all say in unison.
"Yeah it's pretty cool"
"Pretty cool!? It's amazing! And faith gets to grow up here! She's so lucky!"
"Yeah I guess she is"

We all play some games and talk just to catch ip on how everyone and everything is doings in Greenwich village. I will admit, I miss it there. But here is my real home where everything is always ok.
