I was just a little kindergartener in the sea of faces, I thought no one noticed me at all, but that was 7 years ago... I hung on to my dad's long 6'6 frame when we walked in the front doors on the first day of kindergarten. " Are these kids in my class daddy?" I asked, my dad responded with a " yes sweetie, these kids are your new friends!" I pondered why these kids were so much smaller than me, I was 4'6 in kindergarten, all the other kids were hardly 4 feet tall. I was bigger, I was different, but I didn't care until the next year... There it was, my line, time to go... Time to leave my dad... And go to school... As a kindergartner I was afraid, but in 1st grade I gained my confidence. "Bye sweetie, have a good day at school! I love you!" Then he drew a heart on my hand so I wouldn't cry. Then there was someone like me someone tall like me someone blonde like me someone.... Just like me... A little boy my age.
