Chapter 8

♪Ashton's P.O.V ♪

I didn't realize that someone had come out because they heard all the noise coming from the alley right next to the pizza place. To be honest I never thought that Michael would ever betray me like that, I mean he's not the kind of person to do that. After I gave him couple of good hits he was on the ground trying to get up. I pulled him up and pinned him against the the wall again saying, "You're going to regret ever talking to her.""It's not what it looks like Ashton," Michael tried saying to me." What I didn't expect was for someone to catch us back here."What the hell are you doing to him?" I heard a girl yell at me. It didn't take long for Mikey to suddenly turn his head towards the girl's voice.

"Elizabeth it's fine. Just go I can handle this on my own," Michael said to her. So that's her name I thought to myself. Then I heard her sarcastically say," Yeah sure looks like you have everything under control." By then I was really frustrated and snapped, "Why don't you just listen to him and just fucking leave? " "I don't have to answer that," she snapped back at me. Just when I was about to say something some guy and this girl interrupted me. "Do you have a death wish or something? " I heard the guy say to her. "What the hell are you talking about? " she asked him. Then the other girl said to her, "You don't know that he's in a gang? For crying out loud Elizabeth your parents told you to stay away from him for a reason."

It was obvious to everyone that Elizabeth was in shock after what she's been told. I can't believe that I was just outed by some girl I barely even know. This is just fucking great, the one person who didn't know a thing about me just found out the one thing I didn't want her to find out about me. Could this day get any better ? You here the sarcasm. What I didn't expect was for Elizabeth to suddenly turn to look at me with confusion written all over her eyes. And what she did next took us all with surprise. "Is it true ?" she asked me. I somehow found my words and replied," Yeah, it's true." Before I could turn around and leave she called out to me,''Wait." I slowly turned around and replied, "What?" "Can I at least know what your name is ?" she asked me. "It's Ashton," I replied and with that I turned to walk away from the girl that found out my dark secret. Now I know for sure that she'll never want to be with a guy like me.

As I walked away I heard a loud smack followed by a "What the hell was that for?" I ignored whatever else came after that and continued to make my way towards my car.

♪Elizabeth's P.O.V ♪

I didn't realize I was talking until I said to him, "Is it true?" What I didn't expect was for him to reply back," Yeah, it's true." He was about to turn around and leave before I opened my big mouth and said something. "Wait," I suddenly said to him. He slowly turned around and replied, "What?" "Can I least know what your name is?"I asked him. I didn't expect him to reply until he finally said, " It's Ashton." With that he walked away from me. Next thing I knew I was getting smacked by Chelsea. "What the hell was that for?!" I snapped at Chelsea. "For being stupid. And don't get any ideas about finding a way to be around Ashton," Chelsea replied back to me.

"You can't tell me what to do," I said to Chelsea. Up to this point Xavier had been quiet until he finally said," Do you know how dangerous he is,Elizabeth ?" His question caught me completely off guard and didn't give me enough me time to respond. "See you don't know a damn thing about who and how Ashton really is," Xavier snapped at me. Before I knew it I had tears streaming down my face and yelled at them both, "You have no right to tell me what I can and can't do!" I didn't even realize that Michael was still there until he pulled me into a hug. What no one expected was for Michael to suddenly defend me by saying," You don't know the real Ashton and don't have the right to judge him. And you can't control Elizabeth's actions. She has the right to talk and or hang out with Ashton."

Without waiting for a response from either them he grabbed a hold of my hand and dragged towards the direction of the parking lot. "Which car is yours?" he quietly asked me. Feeling at loss of my words and pointed at the white GMC Yukon. "Can I see your keys?" He asked me. I gave him my keys without a word and he took them without saying anything."Okay we're going over to my house. I mean if that's okay with you," he said to me. I nodded in response. We both got into my car without saying a single word to each other.

"Michael why would Ashton start beating you up if you're friends?" I found myself asking him. "We just had a little misunderstanding, " Michael calmly replied. Before I could say anything else he started talking again. "We've been friends since we were babies. He wasn't always like this. It wasn't until his dad was killed." "Wait his dad died? " I asked him. "Shh. Don't interrupt me," he said to me."Anyways his dad was in a gang. I think his dad had an unpaid debt and that's how Ashton got involved with the gang he's in," he finished saying. "There's to be more to that story than just that," I said to him. "That's not for him to tell you and for me not say anything about it," he replied.

"Fine," I said to him. Within a minute of me saying that we pulled up to a house that I assume is where he lives. "Well we're here," he said after a moment of silence. He confirmed my suspicions once he said that. I didn't know what to expect once we toward the front door.

♪Michael's P.O.V ♪

I honestly don't care if Elizabeth's friends are trying to protect her because Ash isn't the person everyone assumes he is. It's obvious that she doesn't like to listen to other peoples opinions about people she doesn't know. Oh shit. I forget to tell her that Luke and Calum are at my house right now. Oh well. What could possibly go wrong?

♪No One's P.O.V ♪

What could possibly go wrong ? Are you fucking kidding me Clifford ? Elizabeth could immediately assume that Calum is fucking Asian. She could fall for Luke's hauntingly beautiful blue eyes. Anyways I can't believe she snapped at Xavier and Chelsea. Well there goes two of her friends. Is Ashton's path to Elizabeth finally clear? Or is he going to push her away like every other girl that has tried to approach him ? When the hell is Austin going to show up and sweep Elizabeth off her feet ?
