"So Frisk, tell me about Sans." You suggested.

"Well, as you know, he is a skeleton monster. Ever since his father fell into the core, he's had to take care of Paps. The more Paps grew, the more Sans wanted to protect him, so yeah... he really cares about his brother. But since Papyrus is old enough to take care of himself, Sans can't really 'protect' him. Trust me, Sans is still stronger than Papyrus but you get my point. Anyway, so since Papyrus no longer needs Sans to care for him, he began to get depressed. But then I came along and Sans felt like he could be a big brother again." Frisk explained.

"But then you died, huh?" You asked.

"Well, there's more to it. You see, I had the ability to 'reset' the timeline. And by that I mean that I could go and free the monsters from the Underground, but if I wanted to, I could 'reset' and I would have to free them all over again without any of them knowing who I was before. The only monster that remembered each 'reset' was Sans. He didn't really like me 'resetting', but he knew I wanted to know what would happen if I tried something different to see if it would lead to a different result. The one thing that I knew Sans was completely fine with was that I could 'reset' from my last 'save' after I died." Frisk replied.

"Then why don't you reset to before you died? Sans would have been a lot happier." You questioned.

"The thing is, I can't. I don't know why but I've tried and tried but, I can't 'reset'. And besides, the only thing I can do now is 'reset' the timeline. But I can't now. Plus, I don't think Sans would want me to do another timeline 'reset' just in case...that...happens again." Frisk explained.

"What do you mean by 'that'?" You asked.

"Each reset, the soul of the first human that fell down here joined me in my journey. Well, one day, she decided to take over my soul and reset the timeline and make me kill all the monsters. Of course I tried resisting, but I just couldn't get control back. I watched Chara make me kill Papyrus. She made me kill everyone! It got to the point where I usually meet Sans at the judgment hall, but this time... He tried to kill me. He has to be the strongest monster in the Underground. I could just see the tears streaming down his face. I, his little sister, had betrayed him and killed his brother. After so many times of me dying, Chara finally killed him. At that point, I was mad. I took back control of my body and reset the timeline. Of course, Sans being able to remember each timeline, saw me exit the ruins and practically choked me to death. It took a while, but I finally convinced him that it wasn't me." Frisk explained. You could just feel her sadness filling up the room.

"Please tell me you didn't bring this Chara chick with you this time." You said, staring at the machine with a concerned look on your face.

"No, I made her stay with Asriel this time." Frisk said.

"Asriel?" You asked.

"Oops, haha. Spoilers!!!" Frisk said laughing.

"Friiiiisk! Who's Asriel?" You tried prying it from the child.

"You'll see!" Frisk said. She refused to tell you anymore of the journey. You sighed and just accepted it. You told Frisk goodbye and took her soul out of the machine. You placed it back on the counter. You took out your own soul and just looked at it for a while.

You put your soul back and walked out of the room. You went back to the front of the house and walked inside. The scene that was being played out was...interesting. The kitchen was a mess of spaghetti sauce and noodles, Melody was yelling at Papyrus about how to properly cook pasta. Sans was on the couch in the fetal position with his head buried in his legs. Gaster was running around the house gathering multiple things and adding them into a test tube.

"(y/n)! Glad you are here. I could use your help on this experiment!" Gaster yelled to you.

"nope." was all you heard before a cloud of blue dust surrounded you. When it vanished, you were in an extremely messy room. Sans was sitting on his bed staring at the floor.

"How did..." You managed to say before Sans interrupted you.

"i call it shortcuts. anyway, i love my father but i don't trust him not to hurt you." Sans said. You sighed and sat next to the skeleton.

"So, Is it true that you are the only monster that remembers each reset?" You ask.

"h-how did you know about this?" Sans asked hesitantly.

"Frisk told me everything." You explained.

"heh, i can never trust that kid with secrets. well, yeah i am the only one that remembers each timeline. king asgore can remember each time he kills frisk but doesn't remember any of the true resets." Sans explained.

"It must have been horrible to see your own brother die." You said. You put your hand on Sans's shoulder for comfort.

"we are kind of in the same boat with that. but instead of watching the ones you love die, you knew that they were going to die." Sans said. You take your hand off of Sans and lied it on your lap. You looked away trying to hide the sadness that was overtaking your emotions.

"They died all because of me. That was a time where other kids were bullying me because of my ability, so I decided to ignore my feelings. I wanted my ability to go away and ignored it thinking it would vanish. Well, one day, my mom and dad were going to go out for a date at the base of Mt. Ebott. My feelings told me to stop them, but I ignored it and they got murdered because of me." You explained.

"(y/n), why are you blaming yourself? don't you remember? your mother had the same ability as you. she knew she was in danger, but she still went." Sans said. This time, Sans put his hand on your shoulder. You looked up at him and saw the concern in his eyes.

"Then why did she go? If she knew she was in danger, she shouldn't have gone." You protest.

"haven't you put two and two together (y/n)? you were still young so your ability still needed time to fully understand the world. your mother's was already tuned to the world. she must have known she was going to die, but she still needed to go in order to allow your 'feelings' to connect with fate. if she didn't die, you would have never became an orphan, you would have never met melody, and you would have never come down here. (y/n), we talked about this before, why are you still blaming yourself?" Sans explained.

"What do you mean 'we talked about this before'? We never had this conversation before." You asked.

"yes we did. we talked about this in another timeli..." Sans said before he stopped himself. He quickly put his hands over his mouth. Sans's face became a bright blue.

"Sans, what are you talking about?" You asked.

"nothing!" Sans yelled as blue dust surrounded him. Once it cleared, he was gone.

"SANS!" You yelled. You stared at the empty room. Your mind started to wander.
