I put my hand on Jess's to try and comfort her. I fake a smile, hiding the truth of my heart aching inside.
He's gone forever.
Those words kept repeating in my head.
I'm never going to see him again. Ever.
I drop my head into my hands, covering my face.
I need to get out of here. I can't do this.
I stand up.
"I'm so sorry Jess. I just need to be alone. Have a nice night."
I take the last sip of my drink, pick up my phone, kiss Jess's forehead and walk straight towards the door. I just need to be at home..alone.
