Waverly POV

During the time that Joey was here, I told him some really personal shit. I couldn't help it. He seemed so interested and its like he just wanted to get close to me and be there for me. How could I not tell my hero everything? I trust him.

In a way, I wish Joey and Daniel lived here in the UK. I know it sounds selfish but I just want easy access to them 24/7. They lift me up.

"No not that one.. Yeah the church on Redstone Street. Is that venue open for three weeks from today?" Lion has been rambling on the phone all evening trying to get some wedding planning done. Daddy and I sit here next to him filling out addresses and invitations, the guest list is huge. I didn't realize that most of their friends are actually YouTubers. Looking down the list, I notice some holes. What about Dan's parents?

"Daddy.. I think you forgot to list your parents.." I told the paper closer to him to see. He sighs and shakes his head a little.

"No, it wasn't a mistake. They aren't invited to the wedding." Dan's voice is filled with different emotions but his eyes and hands are preoccupied.  It kind of shocks me that he wouldn't want his own parents there even though Phil's folks are invited.

"Why? Did something happen?" I ask with curiosity. Lion looks between Dan and I, he holds worry in his eyes.

"Wavey, why don't you go get my laptop from the bedroom so we can look at online caterers for food?" Lion tries to steer me off the path I was wandering down. I look between him and Daddy, they are obviously not wanting to talk about it. What could it be? Was there a falling out? Poor Daddy.

"Yes sir.." I dismiss myself respectfully.

Dan's POV

look over at Lion an Waverly. She's leaned against him on the couch as they both discuss what would be best for food options at the reception. They are both so sweet looking. He's such a great dad, he always knows what to say when I don't. She's such a good kid, too good almost. Besides the very  occasional fit or backtalk, she never gets into any trouble. I don't think that fight counts as trouble, that other bitch instigated it and Waverly was just trying to take up for herself (for the first time ever). I was actually proud of her in a way.

I guess she's just a good kid, a goody two shoes. I don't mean that in a bad way but, jeez. I almost wish she would do something bad like once, just so she could feel like a normal  kid. If she is hiding anything, she's doing a damn good job. I feel like Alistair is a good influence on her. He tells me everything, the only thing he's really done is had sex. Even then he regretted it. I think her name was Lensey?

Phil's eyes are beautifully illuminated in the light of his laptop. His relaxed expression is perfect next to Waverly's tired one. My two angels. I just love them so much. How could my mum be so cruel? I didn't want to tell Waverly what she said, it'd hurt her feelings. Mum said she wouldn't be attending the wedding if Waverly was gonna be there. After we argued for half an hour she called Phil and I some not so nice, homophobic, names. It breaks my heart. My own family.

Look at Wave, sitting there with her fringe in her face. One of her slim arms is hooked around Lion's. Her head rests on his shoulder. How sweet, these are the moments I cherish in life. This is all I need. My true family. Tears almost well up in my eyes, I choke them back. I'm so happy.

I get up and sit on the other side of Lion. He looks at me as I cuddle into his side and smiles. I take Waverly's hand and guide her around to sit in the middle of us with her legs across mine.
