You know that feeling when you wake up in the morning and find your little brother is jumping on your bed. Yeah. That's the feeling I have now.
"Cole, go away," I groan. "Let me sleep a little longer.."
I stayed up watching American Horror Story until one o' clock. I knew I had to get up to go to my new school but... American Horror Story.
"Nope."
He grabbed my leg and started pulling me off the bed, "Get up or else I'll spoil the AHS for you."
That caught my attention. I sat up. "You wouldn't dare."
"I would." He said as he pulled my leg really hard and I fell from the bed.
"COLE!" I yelled.
"Bye, sis," he smirked and ran from my room.
I swear one day, I'll reach my boiling point with him. I get up from the floor and attempt to get ready for school. It takes all my energy to not go back to my beautiful, loving bed.
I walk over to my closet to decide what to wear today. Hmm... red shorts with my black and white striped t-shirt.. plus a thick black belt.. white circle earrings..white converse.. perfect.
I get dressed quickly and rush to my bathroom to apply my makeup. Red tinted lipstick with a black eyeliner. I don't usually wear a lot of make up, just a little. My mom just let let me start wearing some this year.
I comb through my purple wavy locks. I kind of wish my hair was straight. It'd be way easier to handle, but I'm content with my hair how it is now. I study my reflection. Truely, I never thought I looked bad. I'm confident in how I look. I mean there's some days when I feel terrible and that goes along with my appearance. When I have one of those days I don't even bother trying. So hence the not looking very well.
Today, luckily wasn't one of those days.
I check the clock to see how much time I have. Twenty mintues, thank goodness. I hate rushing.
I grab my bag and skip downstairs to eat something and greet my mom in the kitchen. She's sitting down eating an apple and drinking coffee. She's addicted to coffee. As in she has one in her hand at all times.
"Hi, Mom," I say with a smile.
She looks up, smiles back, and continues eating.
This is normal for her. I mean she doesn't talk that often. Which is one reason we're polar opposites. I'm a person who talks to everyone about everything a lot. She's someone who talks a little to some people. It's weird, but I'm used to it by now.
I walk over to the fruit bowl and pull out a banana. Another difference, she loves apples and hates bananas. I hate apples and love bananas. Luckily for me, there's one banana left. Haha, Cole, revenge will be sweet. He loves bananas more than me.
I eat it quickly. Right as I finish, Cole runs down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"FOODDDD!" He yells. Typical Cole thing to say. I swear he has a never ending appetite.
"Chill, Cole," I say as he enters the kitchen.
"No chill," he says with a wide smile as he walks to the fruit bowl. When he looks in it, he immediately get mad.
"Lylah.." he starts.
"Hmm?" I say innocently.
"Where's the last banana I called dibs on yesterday?" he asks a bit too calmly.
"In my stomach," I say sweetly. I could see his face getting red. He has a really bad temper, unlike mom and I. It's kind of funny to get him mad, because his cheeks go blood red.
Cole starts to breathe in and out. That's the only thing heard for a few seconds.
After what seems like a long time, he says okay and grabs an apple.
This isn't good.. I'm definitely gonna get it later. Oh well. Revenge is revenge. And revenge on him tastes sweet.
Finally our mom speaks up. "Cole, Lylah, you need to hurry. You need to leave in five mintues to go to your new school. I don't want to have to deal with you two longer than I have to," she says with a playful smile.
New school.. fun.
"Aw, but you love us," Cole says in a sweet voice and walks over and kisses our mom on the cheek.
She snorts and says, "Totally."
Cole puts his hand over his heart and makes an offended face.
I role my eyes at both of them and go over and give our mom a hug.
"Bye, Mom."
"Bye, Lylah," she says and continues to eat her apple.
I like it when she talks to us. It's nice.
I walk towards Cole and grab his arm. "C'mon, little brother, Mom's had enough of us. Plus we need to get to school."
"Whatever you say, grape," he says.
I sigh and continue pulling him until we're both out the front door. We walk over to my car. A black jeep. With circular lights, as I want to point out. I semi have an obesstion with circular lights. Don't judge.
I get into the car and wait patiently for him. I'm a fast walker whereas he's slow.
When he gets into the car, I put the key into the ignition to start it. Soon after "House of Memories" by Panic! At The Disco starts blaring.
Cole rushes to turn it off. I swat his hand away.
"My car.. my radio," I say slowly. I've said this to him hundreds of times. He still doesn't listen, sadly.
"But it's still trash."
I slap his arm lightly. "Don't say those things about this beautiful band."
He rolls his eyes and stares out the window.
I back the car out of our driveway and begin the journey to the middle school. I have to drop Cole there first.
Few mintues passed by, and we arrive at Concord Middle School.
Cole starts to get out."Have a nice day," I say with a fake smile.
"Have a terrible one," he replies with an even faker smile. He gets out and starts walking to the entrance doors. As soon as he's through, I drive off. My new school is a couple minues from his.
I know where it is. I went with Mom there two days ago to register. It looks nice. It looks really clean and well maintained at least. I don't know about the students, but hopefully they're nice and not like the people at my old school. Before I realize it, I'm there.
Okay. Let's go school; I'm ready for you.
