The rest of his class goes by quickly. Mr. Gates is a very.. blunt teacher. To be honest, I like that about him. He gives us our homework at the end of class, which is reading The Kill a Mocking Bird chapters five to seven. I've already read it before so I should be good. I also have a copy at home so yay!

I have three more classes before the dreaded lunch. Sigh. Not looking forward to that!

I start walking to my next class, math. It has some little title to it, but I honestly don't care. It's just math. Plain and still terrible.

I walk to the class. Turns out it's next door, Room 102 so I don't have to walk far.

I walk into the class and start looking for a seat again. I finally find one next to a girl with a red bow in her hair. I sit down beside her. I set my stuff down and look over at her to say hi, in an attempt to make a friend. She's drawing something. A garden perhaps?

"Hi," I say with a smile. She looks up from her drawing.

"Hey," she replies with a half smile.

"Nice drawing," I blurt out. She looks up again.

"Thanks."

Gosh Lylah. Get your game on! You just need to make conversation. You got this.

"You're welcome. So uh... how are you?" I say awkwardly. God you just ruined it.

She looks up and chuckles. She replies with good.

"How are you?" she asks.

"Okay, I guess. Tired. I stayed up watching AHS last night so I'm crazy tired."

"You like AHS?!" She asks excitedly.

Bingo.

"Yeah! I just started watching it a couple days ago. I'm close to the end of Season One," I reply.

"Wow, you're late then," she adds with a small smile. "I've already watched all the seasons."

"That's awesome. Are the others seasons as good as the first?"

"In my opinion, no. The first is my favorite. The others are good, but I like the first the best."

Right as she says that the bell rings and our math teacher, Ms.Grace, walks in.

For the next period, we done some sample problems for the new chapter, thank goodness I learned how to do them at my old school.

When the period ended, I talked to the girl a little more. It turns out her name is Jaycee. Also that I could sit with her and her friends at lunch.

The second I heard that I wanted to just do a happy dance. Now I won't have to deal with the accursed thing all alone!

We parted ways and I went to third period, French. Yay... To be honest, I hate French. I'm terrible at the language. I wish I didn't have to take it, but I do so.. sighhh.

Sadly, on the way there, people made fun of my hair..

I seems like forever before I reach Mrs. Trites's class.

Slowly, so slowly, I get through the class. We have a test at the end of the week, so I have to start studying.

One more class before lunch. Just one. Which is Biology! I don't know why, but I've always liked the class. For some reason of another..

It takes me a while to find the class, but when I do, I find that Jaycee and Jace are in it. Since the teacher is already there, I introduce myself and ask who my partner could be.

Y' know, I liked the teacher at first. Mr. Cross seemed really nice. Then he put me with Jace. Then when I found that out I didn't like him as much.

I walk over to where the boy was sitting and slide into the seat beside him. He was staring at a book.

"Hey," I say a bit too loudly. He ignores me.

"Hi," I try again. He ignores me again. Now I'm a bit agitated.  I hate when people ignore me. It's one of the fastest ways to get me angry.

"HELLO," I try again for the third time. Still ignores me. That boy.

"AYE YOU, JACE," I try again almost yelling.

"WHAT THE HECK DO YOU WANT!" he yells. His head snapped over to look at me. Everyone in the class went silent.

Before I could reply, the bell rang and Mr. Cross starts his class.

All we do for the hour is watch a video, do a couple worksheets, and read. That's it. Jace didn't look over at me once.

Finally class was over and it's time for lunch. I walk with Jaycee all the way there having a conversation about another show, The Vampire Diaries.

"Oh my lord, you are my twin! I swear!" she says surprised.

"Is that a good thing?" I ask mock suspiciously.

"Nope, it totally isn't," Jaycee says sarcastically.

We laughed and start to go through the lunch line. A few people skipped us, and when Jaycee tried to tell them to get behind us and that we were the first, the insulted us and stayed where they were.

More and more people started to do it, pushing us out of the way. Finally, after fifteen mintues of waiting, we got our food and were at Jaycee's and her friends' table.

"Hey, girls," Jaycee says in a fake, preppy voice as she sit down. I sit beside her.

The two girls chuckled. The girl sitting in front of me has long dark brown hair, while the other has red short hair.

The brown hair girl replied with, "Sup, homie," in a deep voice.

"Nothing much, just curling my hair," she said while trying to twist her totally straight brown hair to make it wavy. She let it go. "It worked?" she replied in the same accent as she did before with a goofy face.

We all laughed.

After that we all started chatting like we knew eachother forever. We talked the whole period. It turns out ht egirl with the brown hair's name is Payton and the red headed girl's name is Harper.

They're crazy nice. Which is weird.. because it seems like the rest of the school is just rude. Just like at my old school... But it's not my old school. I need to remember that. Okay, Lylah? New school. New school. New school. It's not like your old one. You're okay here.

The bell rings and I rush to my locker to get my things. After I run to History. Two more classes after that. You're going to be okay.. I hope.
