We entered the mansion and I was stunned by the sheer beauty and size of it. We were currently standing in the tiled foyer, with two massive stairwells on either side of the room leading up to another story. To my right was a hallway that probably led to other rooms. I spotted the kitchen through an archway to my left; it definitely looked like one hell of a kitchen.

"Wow, this place is beautiful. Do you live here?" I asked Dean as he directed me down the hallway. We passed many closed doors, I assumed they were bedroom.

"Yeah, we all live here, Derek Slade is our legal gaurdian. You met him today." He looked down at me with humour in his eyes.

Slade, where had I heard that name before? Then the realisation hit me. Derek Slade as in Mr Slade from modern History! Was he a Hunter too?

I wanted to ask about Dean's parents but decided that it was too soon to be asking such personal questions.

"Is he a Hunter too?" I asked instead. We had stopped in front of a large wooden door and I could hear thumping sounds; as if someone was hitting something repeatedly.

"He was a Hunter, now he just trains us. You should talk to him; he knows most of the Hunter's ancient history." I nodded and watched as Dean's lean forearm reached out and turned the brass door handle. He murmured, "Welcome to the training room," to me as the door creaked opend. My jaw dropped when I glimpsed at the room inside.

Polished wooden boards decorated the floor and glass mirrors surrounded the whole room. Weapons of every type were proudly mounted on the wall; punching bags, dummies and target boards were all spread throughout the enormous room.

I was so busy gazing around the room that I hadn't noticed all the bodies that occupied this space.  Dru, the Twins, Anna, Mr Slade and even Vanessa stood staring at me, judging my reaction to all of this. I actually felt pretty calm, though that's not surprising with Dean being so near.

It looked like the group had been sparring in pairs before we walked in; they were all sweating and breathing hard.

I wanted nothing more than to join them.

"Hi," I called out to them, earning a approving wink from Dru and a glare from Vanessa. What is her problem?

"Everyone, I would like to officially introduced you to Tammy." Dean called out them, most of them called out a greeting or waved.

"Tammy, that's Anna," he continued, gesturing to a very pretty girl that was painfully thin. I hadn't noticed until now the leather gloves that covered both of her hands.

She gave me a shy smile and wiped sweat from her brow with the back of her gloved hand.

"She doesn't talk much. Don't take it personally," Dean whispered in my ear. Is it bad that I got shivers down my back from such a simple action?

Dru walked over to us and asked loudly, "Ready for the show and tell Tam?" He continued to walk right up to me and grabbed my hand before planting a kiss on the back of it. He frowned.

"Damn, I was hoping we'd get a replay of what happened earlier. I've never heard of a power like that," he told me before letting my hand go. I shrugged my shoulders, unsure how to respond to that.

I turned back to Dean and found him staring angrily at Dru. I raised my eyebrows at him questioningly but he just ignored me and continued to glare. Of course Dru didn't seem to notice.

"What's this show and tell you're talking about Dru?" I asked hoping to defuse the tension in the air.

"Well, we've all decided to do a little demonstration for each of our gifts. Don't worry," he added seeing my shocked expression, "we won't hurt you."
