*Niall's P.O.V.*

I laid in bed, images of the events of earlier filling my thoughts. My mind filled with Athena's angry face. The dark veins prominent against her lightly tanned face, the fangs that had appeared when her temper had risen.

I had tried and failed at making sense of what had happened. The only possible explenation I came up with was that I had dreamed the whole thing up.

Though that theory was proven wrong 10 minutes after it was thought of.

I was walking back from the bathroom, pushing my bedroom door open. A figure was sat on my bed her back to me as she looked at the pictures I had set on my desk.

Her head turned as she heard me enter. A slight sad smile was placed on her face as her eyes scanned my face for my reaction to her sudden presence in my room. Weirdly, I wasn't suprised or scared just mildley curious as to how she got here.

"I climbed through the window." She answered the unasked question.

"Hmm" I hummed, acknowledged the new information.

"So, I wanted to talk to you, about what happened earlier......" She whispered. Nervousness hinted in her tone. My curiosity peeked again, Athena wasn't the type to get nervous...

"Yeah?" I sat on the opposite side of the bed. Waiting for her to respond. She turned her body to face me, a sigh escaping her lips as her hand ran through her long hair.

"It's a really unbelievable, long story." She told me. Looking up, her ocean blue eyes looking up to meet my ice blue ones.

"Try me." I stated. Over the coarse of the 2 days I had known Athena combined with three years of hearing about her. I had grown to fancy her. I wanted to believe anything she told me so that we could possibly have a future together. So I sat and listened to her story. She told me what had happened after the party, she told me about Damon. She explained what had happened when she came home earlier that night and what happened after. My heart skipped a beat when she spoke of imprinting and that she had imprinted on me.

"You must think I'm insane." She sighed, once again she ran her hand through her messy hair, looking down. Her features expressed worry as she waited for my reaction.

All I felt was confusion. I desperately wanted to believe the unbelievable story she had just told me, though finding it incredibly hard. It was impossible. Vampires aren't real. They can't be.

She risked sneaking a peek up from inder her lashes. I had no idea what emotions were displayed on my face.  Her eyes began to fill with water as she looked back down to her hands that rested on her lap.

"Danmit." She muttered bringing one hand up to wipe away the tears. "These stupid hightened emotions."

I then cleared my head, making my decision. I was going to trust her.

I brought my hand to her chin, lifting her face so that her eyes wee forced to meet mine.

"I believe you." I whispered.

A smile instantly tugged at her lips. The tears stopping when I smiled back.

I didn't realize I was leaning in until A.J. abruptly turned away, sheilding her face from my view with her hand. I heard her breath increase with what I guessed to be frustration.

I reacched out, wrapping my fingers around her wrist and gently tugging it back down to it's previous position in her lap.

She continued in her attemps to hide her face from me as she tilted her head down using her long hair as a sheild. When I attempted to push the hair behind her ear her free hand caught my wrist.
