The principal called the police on Blake. She called his parents too. He was investigated and asked questions. Then we had to go to court. And we tried our best to keep him from trouble. Even Hayden tried a bit. But his mum won't take any of it.
(AN: I haven't gone to court before so idk how this works soo)
'Blake Peter Payne,' the judge said, 'you have been found...'
We all held our breath.
'...guilty. Case closed.'
Jonas began to cry into my shoulder. Tears spurted down Blake and Ariel's cheeks. Hayden sniffed. Then he hugged Blake when everyone had stood up.
Blake was sentenced to six months in Juvenile prison (or whatever). We were all very sad. Hayden's mum sniffed a bit but she said that she just had a cold.
Jonas stayed over at my house.
'Babe?' he said in my room.
'Jonas?' I said.
'Do you think Blake will be out of jail anytime soon?'
'Maybe,' I said, rubbing circles in his back. He loves when I do that. He smiled.
'How could he do that? Ryan was my friend. He was a good guy.'
I shrugged. 'I guess it was Fate,' I said, resting my head on his chest.
'I know. I just can't believe that. He didn't seem like that. Now I feel like a part of me is gone. He's my twin, Gem. My brother.'
He began to sniff. Then tears spurted down his cheeks. Then he cried. His nose ran and his face was wet with tears. I put his face to my shoulder and used my shirt to wipe off his runny nose and his eyes.
'Is your nose running?' I said.
'N-no?' he replied.
'Then you better go catch it!' I laughed pathetically. He giggled too, and planted a huge kiss on my cheek.
'You always know how to make me laugh,' he said, 'that's why I love you so much.'
'Stop being so corny,' I said-but then I added, 'I love you too.'
We kept cuddling. I wish I could pause this moment for ever and ever.
