"I never thought anyone could put up with my shit in life."

Hindi nagsalita si Firen, naghihintay.  Napakunot noo nang hindi na muling magsalita ang dalaga. 

"And?"

"And what?" Kunwaring tanong ni Prema.

"What do you mean what?  Stop playing games with me elf!" Hinigpitan nito ang hawak sa bewang ni Prema.

Hindi na napigilan ni Prema ang tumawa. "Look at you!  Para kang batang nagmaktol."

"I don't care I still want to hear it." Mariing sabi nito. Kulang nalang yugyugin si Prema.

Nahabag naman si Prema dito kaya sumeryuso ito.  "Serves you right dahil pinaghintay mo ako ng ilang araw!  Ni hindi ka nga nagpakita sa akin!  Buong araw kitang hinintay kahapon pero ni anino mo hindi nagpakita!" Paninisi ni Prema kay Firen.

"I wanted to, pero ipinatawag ako ng hari, gabi na nang makaalis ako.  And then, I got busy with the burial." Saglit na dumaan sa mukha ni Firen ang sakit na naramdaman sa pagkamatay ng kaibigan nito pero agad din iyong nawala.  "By then it was too late to drop by.  Tapos kaninang umaga naman ay dumating si Brandon.  Now tell me, do you love me?" Seryusong tanong nito.

"Sinabi ko na sayo diba?  I came back for you, hindi pa ba iyon sapat na patunay sa nararamdaman ko?"

"No.  Bakit ba ayaw mo?"

Saglit na natigilan si Prema.  Pagkatapos ay tumingin ng deretso sa mga mata ni Firen.  And in a voice just above whisper said, "because I have never told anyone "I love you." 

Natigilan si Firen. 

"Deep inside I was afraid that if I do, it will make me weak and vulnerable.  I have lived all my life with fear of losing someone I love.  Kaya iniiwasan kung magmahal.  Until I meet you.  Hindi naging madali sa akin na tanggapin ang nararamdaman ko Firen.  I am an immortal and you are not.  Kahit na isa ka sa mga long live races, still, maikli iyon kumpara sa isang immortal na kagaya ko.  Ayokong maiwanang mag-isa.  Pero habang lumalaon ay mas lalong lumalalim ang nararamdaman ko." Pagtatapat ni Prema.

"Don't you think hindi ko yan naisip? What do you think was the reason why it took me so long to tell you how I feel?  At the end, I am selfish after all.  I want you like I have never wanted anyone else before."  And with eyes full of love and passion added.  "You are my heart ViticiPrema."

Still cupping Firen's face between her hands, tumingkayad si Prema para magpantay ang mukha nilang dalawa.

"And mine."  Buong pusong sagot ni Prema. While staring at each others eyes, slowly, ever slowly their lips meet. The arms around her wist crushing her tighter to him. His mouth moved over hers erotically. Hindi napaghandaan ni Prema ang nararamdamang biglang pagbugso ng nararamdamang pagnanasa sa katawan. She never felt desire before, only now, with this man. Mas lalong idinikit ni Prema ang katawan sa binata, her hands on his neck move to feel his back, his shoulder feeling the muscle tense with her touch underneath the thin clothes. Feeling Firen's strength inflamed her more.

Once Firen got the first taste of her, he can't stop. He was so consumed by desire so strong there was no abating it. For the first time in his life, passion ruled over him. But he need to stop. This is not the proper place nor the time. Kahit nahihirapan unti-unting kumalas si Firen and groan when Prema cling to him and followed his mouth.

"We need to stop meFelina." Firen said in between kisses.

"Hmmnn..." was all Prema said. At patuloy na sa pagbibigay ng mumunting halik sa leeg ni Firen.
