Charlie left early the next morning. He had mentioned To his boss that he was in town earlier than was due and he asked Charlie to come in for a tour. That meant I would be home alone for god knows how long.

"Come by for lunch?" He had asked before grabbing his jacket from the hanger. I was still tired from our flight so I only nodded, not caring at that moment that he was leaving.

But now I cared. That was four hours ago and I had went to sleep and woken back up since then. I was entirely bored and we hadn't anything in this place to eat. Nothing I'd like anyways.

We were still at the hotel because of his change of plans and I had a feeling we'd be here a couple of more days because of this.

I was flipping through the television when the hotel phone started to ring, reminding me that Charlie and I needed to get new phones.

"Holly's whore house"

There was a chuckle on the other line and I smiled knowing it was Charlie.

"Ellie, are you still coming down for lunch? Everyone's already left and I'm pretty much alone" he sounded like he had been feeling awkward about that. I thought it was weird. Charlie was so good at making friends, I hadn't planned on actually going to lunch because I thought he would be off making new friends.

"Aww are you the loner?" I teased. I know he was frustrated but I couldn't help it.

Maybe he was an outcast because he was American. And if I were correct I heard Brits hadn't got American humor. And Charlie and I's humor was even hard for fellow Americans to understand. I suddenly felt slightly bad knowing that no one made an attempt to befriend him. If I were there Id fucking force feed people's friendship to him. He was a nice guy, everyone should have the pleasure of knowing.

But wouldn't that also mean he'd have more friends than me? Maybe I'm selfish but it was probably better this way.

"I'll be there in a second. What do you want for lunch? I remember seeing a pizza place next door last night"

"Pizza is fine. Hey my boss just called me over. Ill see you in a bit Ellie." He hung up before I could respond but I didn't take it the wrong way.

I looked out the curtain clad window I see that it was raining. We were located in the London eye so I could pretty much see everything from here . Everyone seemed so busy yet carefree all at once. I couldn't explain it.

Sighing I went into the room I was staying in and changed into a black skater skirt with thick black tights underneath, a knitted grey sweater and my oxfords. I was planning on walking around after lunch or some shit. Anything to get me out of this hotel.

I was seated in the waiting area of Syco recordings and let me tell you. There was loads of other people in here as well making me feel uncomfortable. They were all wannabe singers hoping to get signed. And I doubted everyone of them because they all looked like they'd be shit. I mean I wouldn't listen to them and isn't their biggest market America. Good Fucking luck.

"Hello" a tall blonde had sat next to me within the last five minutes. She had two ponytails in her hair and her makeup looked god awful. Like ahe had let her little sister draw on her face. Not anyone id hang around. But she looked like she had been wanting to say something for the past couple of minutes.

I turned in my seat to look forward, not paying any attention to her. Pretending I hadn't heard her because she had spoken so quietly it was possible.

"Hello" she said again louder this time and she tapped me on the arm while he said it which automatically annoyed me.

"Hi."

"I'm Rebecca" she smiled brightly, reaching her hand out to me. She was completely different than anyone here. She looked so innocent and childish. But I didn't want to befriend her. I know I needed friends. But I didn't want her to be it.

"Oh?"

"Yes. Rebecca Teasdale. What's your name?"

"Ellie"

There was a large commotion coming from the entrance of the room. I looked in curiosity as four teenaged boys walked in. They were making a scene as one of the boys jumped on the others back. I rolled my eyes, fucking great. More people.

"Ellie?"

"Yes Ellie. What do you want?" I snapped. I hadn't mean to but I didn't regret it either. Maybe she would leave me alone now. Although she looked like the type of person that would cry if you yelled at her.

"Charlie's Ellie? He had mentioned you earlier and had said maybe we could be friends" she gave me an embarrassed smile making me sigh.

The four boys who were talking to the receptionist made their way over to where we were all seated and took a seat a few feet away from us. There were chairs in front of us, however I was extremely grateful they hadn't sat there. I didn't want to have to castrate anyone on my first day in London.

I turned my attention back to Rebecca who was staring at me the entire time waiting for me to speak.

"Of course he did. Unfortunately I already have enough friends. Do you know where he is?"

Rebecca pulled out a clipboard and took a glimpse at it.

"Wait you work here?"

"Yes" she kept her eyes glued on the board until her finger slid down the Charles McDaniel.

"Oh, he's in a meeting with Matt and Simon"

"Cowell?"

She nodded, giving me a smile. I looked down at the pizza that was beginning to burn my hand and sat in on the table. It was going to be a while. Everyone was chatting amongst themselves while Rebecca and I stayed silent. I liked it this way though. But if course she couldn't keep her mouth shut.

"Okay, If I can impress you will we be friends?" Se asked suddenly. It was an odd question. Like a bribe. But bribes always intrigued me an I doubted she would impress me but I shrugged anyways. Watching her try would surely amuse me.

"Are you into parties?" She asked, siting all we shit on the pizza box and turning into my direction. I still wasn't looking at her though. I was watching the four boys. There was one with blonde hair whispering something into the ear of another with dark hair. In that moment he caught my eye. The brunette one.

Instead of looking away I stared at him intensely hoping to make him uncomfortable. But he stared right back, an I couldn't help the smirk making its way on my face while we stared at each other. His face was blank until he saw it.

Rebecca tapped me, snapping me back into our conversation and I remembered her question.

"Look I'm not into little teenage parties okay. That isn't going to impress me"

I looked back at the brunette and noted that he was kind if attractive. Maybe..

"What about a club?" Rebecca asked, grabbing my attention.

"You? you could get me into a club?" I asked in disbelief. She smiled, picking her clipboard up and checking her watch.

"I could get you into any club"

She had taken me by surprise. She was still a little weird to me but I had to admit this impressed me. I would enjoy this opportunity. I'm sure Charlie wouldn't, because he doesn't party much but I did back home. I had made up my mind, Rebecca was okay. Just for a little while until I or my own connections.

"Does this make us friends?" Rebecca smiled, standing up. She looked like she was leaving and I had to admit I didn't plan on staying here alone. Maybe she could show me around or some shit I don't know. I wanted I find Charlie but I wanted him to have a good meeting as well.

I needs to find a job soon. I didn't want to sit around all day and wait for Charlie to come home. That wasn't going to be me living here.

"Yes" I stood up as well, placing my arm over her shoulder as a gesture that we were friends. I felt uncomfortable doing it but Rebecca seemed to like it. I wonder if she had any other friends. And how was she able to get into these clubs? There were a lot of questions running through my mind but I ask them later.

"Fancy a night out?"
