I woke up with a different feeling. I couldn't tell what it is. It was just a different feeling.

So I jumped out of bed and looked out the window, to see if anything had changed.

Outside the blue sea was more of an aquamarine, much more transparent. Was that a mermaid!? A purple tail splashed in the water then sunk back inside. And then, I saw Neverland! I couldn't believe my eyes. A great, big, green island laid floating there, peacefully, with two rainbows crossing its ends, and puffs of smoke floating around because of The Indians, and the blue sky shined because of the fairy dust, and a rock shaped like a skull reflected the sun's light, and... and... it was beautiful.

I rushed out of my cabin to get a better look. The wind hit me like a truck, but I didn't care. I heard some pirates cry, "Oi! The little princess woke up!" And honestly, I completely ignored them. I ran to the ends of the boat and grasped its side, looking towards the island.

"Pretty. Isn't it?" I turned around to face Hook. "What do you want?" I glared at him.

"Oh, I'm here watching  the island. Just like you." I didn't stop staring at him furiously.

"Alright, Grace Quisling. I'll be leaving. But do remember the offer I gave you. Being a pirate is pretty fun." He winked at me, and left. That.... codfish! Ugh! He ruined the whole idea of being here in Neverland. But something distracted my thoughts. It all happened to slowly. I faced the island again, when I saw a boy, a young boy, wearing green clothes and crowing.

Peter. Pan.

My eyes widened, my heartbeat accelerated, and with all the strength in my lungs I shouted:

"PETEEEEEEEEER! I'M HEREEEEEE!"

But I had closed my eyes while shouting. And when I opened them once more, he was gone. I felt like my heart sunk. Deep down.

Few minutes passed before the ship finally landed on the sea. The Neverland looked so much detailed than from up above. It had little and big trees, with different fruits and so much more things one could never imagine.

But it was time for Peter to come. I had seen him, and he had to come rescue me. But he just wouldn't. Anyways, I was convinced he would. So after some waiting I finally decided to do something more proactive.

"I want you to throw me off the plank."

"Excuse me?"

I was talking directly to Hook, and I was not asking.

"I said, I want to be thrown off-board. Peter will come flying by and rescue me. Just like Wendy was."

Hook eyed me suspiciously, then finally let go.

"Alright." He turned around to face the crew. "Pirates! Get the plank ready. Little Grace Quisling is being thrown off-board!"

He got a few confused looks, but soon there was an uproar of laughter and the pirates got the plank ready. They offered me a  handkerchief to cover my eyes, but I refused. Neither did they tie my hands, since I was willing to jump.

It was pretty scary standing there looking down at the water. I could tell it was very deep and if for some reason I fell in there I would probably drown. I looked back at the pirates, and Hook was muttering something to Smee. It was time. I let my lungs fill themselves with air, and jumped.

As I was falling down I was waiting for the arms of Peter to embrace me and take me away, but in a second I felt a rush of cold and couldn't breathe anymore. I was underwater. I just realized my eyes were closed so I opened them and saw myself sinking lower and lower. This was the end. I was going to drown. Peter did not come. I felt my eyes start stinging, and I couldn't help it. I began to cry. I was sobbing, and sobbing, and I was running out of air...

A rope was thrown underwater. Without thinking my hand took it and I was taken out of the water in a flash. Everything happened so fast. Some arms embraced me, I was covered in towels, someone lighted a fire, and there I was. Suddenly sitting in Hook's cabin.

"He did not come." I said simply.

"Tut-tut. I told you he was a scornful little boy."

Hook was taking a little handkerchief and handing it to me. A little tear slipped my eye.

"I was convinced he..." But I couldn't finish. The sobs started pouring out of nowhere, and once again I was crying.

"Grace, he did this to you. He let you drown. Don't you want revenge?"

"I... don't know."

"The offer to be a pirate is still up. You decide what to do with it. We do need a sword fighter, and I'm that with a little practice you would me a stupendous one."

"You think so?"

"Oh, yes."
