"General Fox knew there would be some good sending a spy to the L.E.C, her intuition was right! A runaway princess!" Ike purred flying back and fort happily. "She has unfinished business with you."

"I haven't even formally met her, is she mad because I took one of her soldiers eyes? Or that I released the females from the mountain of lost souls?"

"No it's not, we didn't need the females we got enough venom. And the guy whose eye you took, Drako was it? He was killed for being too weak." Ike barked happily, "Survival of the fittest."

"General Fox is crazy! She killed one of her own?" Luna seethed.

"Oh no, Fox doesn't do the dirty work. He was killed by a lower rank that was trying to get his rank. Fights break out all the time over ranks. Everyone's at each others throats, we have no peace keeper. Fox doesn't care as long as we get the missions done." He explained.

We crossed the rapids, the foggy mountains were getting closer. Luna let out a howl of distress but Ike clamped her mouth, "We don't want bandits to steal you from me, now do we? They will have their way with you, thats my job."

Luna narrowed her eyes and bit his hand. Ike sunk his fangs into her ear, "Naughty girl, save the biting for when we get to my chamber."

She struggled again then stopped to pant, "I will get out or die trying."

"The mountains are over there, Her highness has sent a party to meet us half way." Ike sneered. He began to lick her ear, Luna felt sick to her stomach.

Luna felt like she had all of the air knocked out of her lungs. Something had slammed into them, "Please be royal guards searching for me."

She went crashing towards the ground, she felt something grab the rope binding her wings and lower her to the ground. With a breeze of wind, she felt the ropes all get cut at once. "Son of a bitch stealing my merchandi-"

Luna looked up and she nearly burst into tears. There was a dark flash then she heard a struggle. She sat up and saw Kyro fighting Ike. Kyro slammed his sword out of his hands and slashed at him. The male sprung up and kicked his bane into the air. Kyro tackled Ike to the ground and they started wrestling beside the rapids.

"Kyro!" Luna cried pulling out her dagger. She rushed over to them, they were flipping too much she was too scared to stab. She didn't want to accidentally hit Kyro in the process. Kyro pinned a struggling Ike to the ground. He looked into her crystal blue eyes for what might be the last time.

Luna stared back, "His eyes have a fire I've never seen before." They both knew he couldn't hold Ike down for long. He gave her one last sympathetic look then a smile before throwing himself and Ike into the rapids.

"KYRO!!!" She screeched. Luna searched around desperately then grabbed his bane. She flew over the water, looking for any sign of him. Tears glimmered in the moonlight before mixing in with the deadly current. Luna saw a black wing fly up before being dragged back under. She flew ahead, she would help Kyro or die trying. The white current made it impossible to see in the water, she decided to fly higher and search for anything.

She saw them emerge, both gasping for breath as they were dragged along. Kyro let out a howl before grabbing Ike's neck and dragging him under again, "Kyro it's not worth it! Get up here!"

The princess was shaking, but she forced herself to keep looking. She saw no signs of life from either of them. "I refuse to believe he's dead, I will not lose him again." She combed the rapids over and over again, but saw no signs of them. "They can't have just disappeared!" She stopped midflight and remembered one of the first things Gin told her, "Don't even think about it, those rapids will rip you to shreds."
