Sans X Reader

Looking For Sans

"Sans!" You yell as you run out of the skeleton's room. You run down the stairs and look around. Gaster was the only one in the living room so you run into the kitchen and look around.

"Woah, (y/n), what's going on?" Melody asked.

"It's Sans! I need to find him." You reply.

"DID SOMETHING HAPPEN TO MY BROTHER?" Papyrus asked.

"Nothing life threatening. But he just said something that I need the answer to. If I can't find him, I might have to just ask Frisk about it but I would like the answer from himself." You explained while searching the kitchen.

"Wait, Frisk is here?" Melody asked.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN ASK FRISK? FRISK IS DEAD!" Papyrus exclaimed. The two love birds chated about Frisk while you continued searching. Soon you gave up and started to head for Frisk.

You got to the back of the house and opened the door since it was left unlocked when you left it. You grabbed the container that contained Frisk's soul and put it in the machine and pulled the lever. You tried talking to Frisk but the machine didn't work. After about 30 minutes of fiddling around with the machine, you were finally able to talk to the child.

"(y/n), is something wrong?" Frisk asked.

"No. Well, it's kind of bad but not life threatening I hope. I need to ask you something." You explained.

"Well, I can't just say no so yeah go ahead." Frisk replied.

"Sans and I were talking and he said 'we talked about this in another timeline'. Answer me this Frisk, Have I been down here in another timeline long enough that Sans grew to like me?" You asked. You heard Frisk sigh.

"I guess there's no hiding it how, huh? The timeline that Chara reset was one almost exactly like this. I had died and was stuck as a soul. You appeared and did almost everything that you have done now. The only difference was that it took Sans longer to fall for you." Frisk explained.

"But what about earlier when Sans asked you about his feelings for me? He made it sound like he never met me before." You asked.

"(y/n), we know how you are. We knew that you were probably eavesdropping. The only thing that wasn't staged was Sans actually asking me if he likes you. You two were never together, but Sans has liked you for the longest time. Of course, he was really upset that Chara reset." Frisk said.

"Oh god. I need to find him. Do you have any idea where he could be?" You asked.

"He would either be at Grillby's or hiding in the judgement hall. Here, swallow my soul. Humans can't absorb humans so all my soul would do is just sit inside your soul and It would allow me to talk to you. without this machine." Frisk suggested.

"Frisk, that sounds great but your soul needs to be used for something. How can I use your soul if you're inside my soul?" You said.

"Don't worry, I know a way I can escape on my own." Frisk said. You sighed and took Frisk out of the machine. You opened the container and pulled out Frisk's soul. You put the soul up to your mouth and hesitated. You quickly shoved the soul in your mouth and swallowed it whole.

After you were sure Frisk was safe, you started to head out the door. You went Into the actual house and into the kitchen where Melody and Papyrus were still cooking.

"Melody, get cleaned up and meet me at the edge of town." You said.

"Wait, what? We are leaving already?" Melody asked.

"We need to find Sans. If he's not at Grillby's, we will have to continue on our journey in order to find him." You explained. Melody's face turns to one of concern.

"(y/n), What's wrong? You're never this serious. I'm the more serious one, why are you so serious? You're the one that is always making the dirty jokes and horrible puns." Melody said.

"I'm sorry Mel." You said. You turned around and headed out the door. You started to walk to Grillby's. You walked inside and looked around a bit.

"Excuse me, is Sans here at all?" You ask the bartender. There was a long pause before the bartender spoke.

"You must be (y/n). He just left." The bartender said.

"Damn it. Thank you for your time." You said walking back out of the restaurant.

"That was Grillby. He is both the owner, and the bartender." Frisk explained. You hummed in acknowledgment.

You got to the edge of the town and saw Melody and Papyrus waiting there for you.

"I'm sorry Papyrus, but you must stay home." You said.

"WHAT? WHY?" Papyrus asked.

"I don't know Papyrus. I never know why, but I'm not going to ignore my feelings again. Go home." You said. Papyrus sighed and walked back to his house. You and Melody started walking and got to the second flower bridge room.

"Hey, (y/n). I think there's a hidden room over there?" Melody said pointing in the direction the water was flowing. You shrugged and made a bridge to where Melody was talking about. You walked over and found that there was in fact a hidden room. There was a bench with a blue flower next to it.

You walked over to the flower and lightly touched it. Suddenly, I voice started talking from within the flower. It sounded like Sans's voice.

"(y/n), i'm pretty sure you've found this place. i wouldn't be surprised. so, listen, i didn't mean to spill the fact that you've been here before. knowing you, your probably fine with the fact that you've been here, but I just can't help but regret telling you. *distant footsteps* oh, that must be you. heh, seeya. i... i love you kid." The flower repeated. Melody looked at you with a confused look on her face.

You walked out of the hidden room and onward to find Sans.

"(Y/n)? What did he mean?" Melody asked. You sighed and explained everything. Once you finished explaining, you two continued walking in silence.
