There were many things drastically different between the two kingdoms. Unlike Evangeline, The White Queen or Queen of Diamonds didn't have loyal subjects and warriors. She liked slaves and soldiers.

She craved power and by taking the Red Queen's most prized possession (a/n - Malakai is not a possession but The White Queen thinks everything is) she had the perfect hand. And Alice was just the pawn she needed.

Alice, her want for revenge and freedom clouded her judgment and she couldn't see the big picture. The White Queen had already trapped Alice in her web of lies and deceit. The Queen of Diamonds had no intention of letting Alice go after she brought Evangeline to her knees.

Her Chess Knights were patrolling the walls of the castle when the Heart Knights struck. They struck silently and quickly, dragging the clueless Chess Knights into portals and slitting their throats before they could make a sound.

That was their advantage. Stealth, and their individual powers. Something that the White Queen lacked in. She didn't bless her Knights with power for she was too afraid and paranoid that they would turn against her.

While the Heart Knights were slowly picking their way through the others, the Council and the Avengers strode right through the front gates. The O'Hares broke off, leading the Avengers through the castle to the dungeons, as they had spent time there undercover. Their assignment was to get Malakai and get him to safety, killing anything and everything that gets in their way.

The rest of the council took point outside, ensuring that no one can get in, while Evangeline threw open the doors, strolling in with her head held high. The guards in the room immediately jumped into action, rushing at the Red Queen. With a wave of her hand they all collasped.

Glowing red eyes glared at white ones as she strode up to the White Queen's throne. Alice stood next to her, a sneer on her whore-like features.

"Where is my son, Minerva!?" Evangeline demanded, getting immediately to the point.

Alice opened her mouth to answer but Evangeline just flicked her hand in her direction.

Alice's head snapped to the side at an unnatural speed, a loud crack sounding through the room. She collasped, lifeless onto the white-tiled floor.

The White Queen spared a bored glance at the body of her servant and looked back at Evangeling, "Thank you for that. She really was annoying. So Evangeline, how have you been?"

"Enough of the pleasantries. Nobody needs to hear them. Where is my son?" Evangeline asked again.

"Wow, straight to the point, as always, you stupid girl. Not even a hello. What right do you have to barge into my kingdom and demand something?"

"You gave me the right when you stole Malakai from me!" Evangeline was as red as her hair as she yelled at the White Queen im front of her.

"He is but a thing to be stolen and sold and used however I want." (A/N - dont go to the gutter. She means as a servant.)

"Do not talk about my son as if he is a common object! He is a living being!"

Minerva laughed and got up from her throne. "Enough of this. For intruding on my kingdom and the attempt to take what is rightfully mine, I sentence you to death by my hand. Any last words?" She said, a sword appearing in her hand.

"I'd like to see you try." Evangeline replied, raising her axe.

And with a battle cry they charged.
