this superficial love thing,
got me going crazy

I turn off the alarm on my phone as I wake up, hearing my favorite song.
I honestly don't know why people set their alarms to a song they hate. I would rather set my alarm to a song I love so I can wake up in a better mood.
I climb out of bed as I go to my closet and pick out a cute outfit. (Outfit on side)

I get dressed and then I walk to my bathroom to do my makeup.
Some days I like to really take time on my makeup and make it look good. But other days, I just swipe on some mascara and I'm out the door.
But today, I decided on taking my time to do it.
Once I'm finished with that, I start un-doing the braid I had done last night.
I personally, can't curl my hair. Well, I probably can, it's just me and hot things do not go to well together.
So, the day before I wash my hair and braid it, then sleep with it in over night, so when I wake up and take it out, my hair is wavier than usual.
I grab my white school bag, which I happen to love very much, and walk down stairs.
"Good morning, love" I hear my mom greet me as I walk down the stairs.
"Morning mom" I say back, giving her a smile.
"Would you like me to make you something real quick? Or do you need to get to the school library to return your books" she asks me, as she cuts up some strawberries. Probably for my four year old brother, Parker.
"No, I think I'm good. Thank you though" I say as I walk over and kiss her cheek.
"I'll see you later. Tell Parker that if he touches my sour patches I'm gonna be after him" I say, and she just laughs and says bye.
I slip on some white converse, then I'm out the door.

I pull into the school parking lot to see kids everywhere as I park in my usual spot and then walk into the school.
"MAYA" I hear my best friend, Kory, scream from across the hall.
"KORY" I yell back as he runs up to me with a wide grin on his face.
"Maya you will never believe what just happened to me" he says out of breath,
I give him a confused glance as I nod my head signaling for him to continue.
"I just ran into James Propson, and oh my goodness, he winked at me!" He says excitedly. I chuckle at him as I lightly hit his shoulder
"Go get em' tiger" I say as I grin at him.
Kory has been my friend for as long as I can remember. He's been by my side through thick and thin.
"I'm gonna go talk to him. I'll catch you later alligator" he says and quickly walks off. Weirdo.
I walk over to my locker to see the one and only, Dominic Kingsley standing right in front of it.
