A cool breeze attacked Kyle as he pushed the doors to the movie theater open. His two friends, Brian and Michael, followed him into the theater. “This movie is gonna be sick!” Brian exclaimed, sauntering towards the concession stand.

“Definitely.” Kyle said, although he didn’t completely agree. He wasn’t interested in going to a scary movie at all, the only thing he wanted to do was stay at home and play video games. He felt as if movies were boring, and all of the movies end the same. Everyone lives happily ever after, the guy gets the girl, et cetera.

“Please, Brian.” Michael started. “Everyone knows you’re extremely terrified of scary movies.” Brian scoffed and let Michael’s comment slip off his shoulder. Kyle chuckled, and stared at the long line of people in front of him.

As they were waiting to order concessions, another group of guys barraged Kyle and his friends. They gave each other high fives and started a conversation about the movie they are about to see. All of the boys were excited, except for Kyle. Again, he just wanted to go home and play video games.

Once they had ordered their concessions, consisting of popcorn and sodas, they made their way to the screening room. The teenage boys ran to the top of the theater, talking loudly about the movie. People gave them death stares, obviously trying to tell them to be quiet.

It was true. Kyle was one of the popular guys at his school, although he had never really been fond of it. In middle school, he wasn’t popular at all and nobody payed much attention to him. Ever since he started high school, hit puberty, and joined the baseball team, people have been all over him. Every guy in school wanted to be his best friend and every girl wanted to be called his “princess”. Kyle absolutely loved summer, because kids from his school weren’t constantly following him around.

Even though Kyle had plenty of friends, Brian and Michael have always been his best friends. They were always by your side, and never back stabbed him like some of his other “friends” had done in the past. For example, Kyle’s old friend dated his ex- girlfriend without him knowing.

As the movie began to start and the lights dimmed partially, three friends stepped into the room. The group immediately caught Kyle’s attention, mostly because they were late for the movie and because there was a fairly pretty girl in that group. She had blue eyes and dirty blonde hair.

Kyle stared at the back of the girl’s head during the entire movie, because he honestly wanted nothing to do with the movie. He stared at it for exactly two hours, and the only thing he wanted to do was get to know the girl better. So many thoughts were floating in Kyle’s mind. Does she go to my school? Do I know her? Have I met her before?

As the movie ended and the group of boys stepped out of the room, all of those questions seemed to be answered. He took a good look at the girl and recognized her immediately. She did go to his school, and he has met her in the past.

And man, he had wished they never met before. Because the first time they met, it was bad. And Kyle was pretty sure that she probably wants nothing to do with her.

A/N

Hey everyone! First of all, sorry for not updating for a couple of days. Second of all, the formatting for this book is really messed up... so I am sorry. This book switches each person every chapter. So chapter one is Penny, chapter two is Kyle, chapter three is Penny, etc.
