"I'm guessing you can walk now?" Joshua asks me.
"Yeah" I tell him as I hold my axe in front of me ready to swing at any moment when I stand up.
We go to the house where I cut my leg when I was with Jane. I walk through the door and head straight to the back door.
"Alyssa shouldn't we check the rest of the house first?" Joshua asks me.
"No use. Jane and I already did." I say as I open the back door and swing the axe sideways at the biter that was walking towards me. Then I go to the shed.
"Damnit its got a key lock on it." I say as I swing the axe down and break the lock. Then I turn my flashlight on and look around. I give Joshua my axe. "Use this." I tell him as I grab a large seath with a handle sticking out of it. I grip the handle and pull the machete out. I leave the seath and we move on to the basement. We both turn our flashlights on.
"It's empty..." Joshua says. I sit down against the wall and Joshua sits down next to me. I lay my head on his shoulder.
"Do you think the world will ever be normal again?" I ask him.
"Probably not." He says. "Its already gone."
He kisses me and I close my eyes. It feels like.... Forever before we stop.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!!!" A female voice screams.
I quickly grab the machete and get up. I run out of the house and towards the voice.
The gate is open.
