       “Hey momma, little brother” he heard his brother john say as he hugged his mom and patted Nathan on the shoulder,

John unlike Nathan had short brown hair, much darker and buzzed, he had a beard was tall and played sports, football and track, Nathan was still looking at the piece of paper

        “Nathan, c’mon we have to go get John’s bags” Nathan looked from the paper to his mother not even realizing that she had stood up,

He couldn’t believe what he was holding in his hand, he stood up and followed they all waited until John got his bag, and they walked to the truck talking about what has happened since they last saw each other, Nathan going first as he was the youngest

        “Paisley and I are still together...um I made honor roll, that’s about it” his mom smiled

        “I am so proud of you my baby” he smiled and John proceeded with what has happened in his life

        “I’m dating this girl named Riley, and I was one point short of the honor roll, Football went amazing pretty sure i’m gonna get scouted oh and track is going well too”

I’m glad baby, so I figure, when we get home, John I know you're hungry, Nath you hungry?”  he looked at his mom, and nodded, still clutching the piece of paper in his hand, they were about a half an hour till home and nathan figured the best time to text her would be when he got home and nobody else would see, considering John was sitting right next to him, but he did text Paisley and Morgan

and then decided to text Morgan

      Just got home so i’ll see you tomorrow? our hideout say 10:30?

and then pressed send waiting for both replies Paisley's was faster than morgan’s probably because the time difference

Nathan smiled and decided not to text back deciding to give her time to sleep or do whatever she was doing

        “we’re here”  his mom said her face ecstatic,

John pushed Nathan back into the seat in an attempt to get into the house first

       “C’mon looooser”  John taunted Nathan while running into the house,

Nathan shook his head and walked towards the house with his bag slung over his shoulder

        ‘Something’s never change’ he mumbled smiling to himself,

he walked through the garage into the house through the kitchen and into his room, john and him got rid of their bunk beds when they were nine, they decided Nathan got the left side of the room where you walk in and John got the right side, they’ve always respected each other’s privacy, so Nathan took out his phone and texted the number printed on the sheet

he sent it and then laid down taking in his surroundings his white walls, the blue carpet, Chuck Norris poster, stuffed animals (Mostly dogs and horses), soccer trophies, and of course his picture of him and paisley from when they first started dating. He even took in John’s side of the room, his sports posters, football trophies, the clothes over his bed from him throwing his opening bag on his bed, and Nathan came to the realization he missed this, he loved college and paisley but he missed living with his brother, who he never see’s anymore
