"Have you picked your candidate, my love?"
The beautiful voice lovingly slid across the ocean waves, only to be met with silence. The moon looming above seemed to gaze at the black ocean below.
"My love?"
The voice spoke again, less lovingly than before, but still only silence met it's call.
"Seaweed!" A tsunami wave was pulled upward toward the moon before slapping back down.
A masculine voice sleepily answered,
"Your power always astounds me, my moon, though I don't understand why I needed a demonstration."
A blinding light lit up the dark ocean, revealing a woman floating where the moon once was as it faded. The giant woman was as pale as the moon, her entire body giving off a soft light, even her dress. Her black eyes narrowed in irritation,
"If you had woken up five minutes ago, you would have known."
"And miss a sight I haven't seen in a billion years? Never."
The woman giggled, before floating down until her feet touched the dark waters. The ocean immediately tamed beneath her feet, all except a single stream of water rising up before her. Water flooded back down the stream until it formed a giant merman, he was made from the dark waters all except his white glowing eyes.
"Well with the humans gone I no longer have too always pose as an ugly glowing orb in the sky," she addressed him.
"No you don't, but you were always beautiful, no matter your form." He stroked her cheek.
Her black eyes softened,
"Sweet talker."
"But, my love, I am not here to merely flirt with you," she warned softly.
He quirked a brow, before tucking a strand of her flowing hair behind her ear and bringing his watery lips closer to hers.
She laughed and placed a hand on his chest.
"Alas not that either, my love, I'm here so both our species do not become extinct like the humans, so they don't make the same mistake as the humans."
Her eyes casted downwards. He tilted her head up.
"It's my merfolk that declared war on your werewolves, it was them that became too greedy and they who are making the same mistakes as the humans once did." His handsome face formed into a scowl.
"My love, you are not-" she protested
"And they will be adequately punished for it," He finished.
She floated upward, kissing his cheek and nuzzling him.
"Not too severely I hope, for the werewolves are far from innocent."
"Just enough that our plan will be a success."
He slapped his giant tail on the water, catching a small ball of water that jumped upwards. Cradling the ball he spoke softly to it, until the water distorted and twisted revealing the image of a baby mermaid. Her skin and hair color was a mixture of blue and green, while her tiny tail was a thousand shades of blue.
The woman leaned closer to the image,
"She's adorable," she cooed, "what is her name?"
"It's Aygul Aqua Walker." His eyes softening as he watched the Moon coo over her.
"Walker? Hm..... that's ironic... and-," she cut off and glanced up at him, "Aygul, huh? That's sly."
He smirked.
She giggled and clasped her hands together, creating a pure white ball in her hands, bout as big as his ball of water and just like before the image distorted until it showed a tiny little wolf pup, nuzzled beside mother. His fur shone copper.
The merman dropped his ball of water, taking interest in the image.
"His name is Kaimu Ethan Lun," she answered his unspoken question.
"Wow and you call me sly-"
The sun peaking over the surface of the water interrupted his thought.
"Ooooh why didn't I notice it before," she shoved the ball into his hands, "here take it."
"You know I can't, it's going to break the second it leaves your-" it shattered into a million pieces, "yep...."
He glanced up to see the moon once again in the sky. Being overshadowed by the arrival of the sun.
He gave her a loving smile, before his form slapped back into the ocean.
