"Yeah, surprising right," he starts off. "Well anyways, Alec told me at school today to tell you something. This is weird for me to say but, here goes nothing......
Alec is in love with you." He says. He knew by my face that I was surprised. I knew from the moment he said that, that he was joking. There was no way on the entire earth that Alec Smith would ever love me the way I love him.
"What do you think I am, clueless?" I asked.
"What do you mean?" He says.
"I mean that you are joking. The is no way on the entire earth that Alec Smith would ever love me. I mean, have you seen me?" Haha, ginks.
"Yes, I've seen you. Your gorgeous. A guy would be really stupid not to love you. I also have something else to tell you, but I think I will wait on that one for now." He says.
"I still don't believe you." I say, ignoring the last part he said. I knew it was about him loving me.
"Well, you have his number. Call him and see for yourself." He says.
"Well I just might." I say as I pull out my phone to dial Alec's number. It rings twice before he picks it up.
"Hello" he answers.
"Yeah, hey, it's Shelby. My friend Josh here told me some news that I don't believe. I need your conformation on it." I say getting pretty scared now.
"Yeah, ask me anything. I will be totally truthful." He says.
"Yeah, okay. So he told me that you love me. I think it's all a joke but he likes to tell otherwise."
He doesn't answer for a while. Probably thinking about whether to lie or not.
"Well, I told you I would be truthful with any question you ask me so,
I love you Shelby Tyler." He says. My mouth drops open. I think I stood there shocked for a while because I couldn't believe what he said.
"Well, you know what?" I say.
"What?" He answers.
"I love you too Alec Smith. I loved you since the very beginning. Since we met at the park that one day when our moms met together. I LOVE YOU ALEC SMITH!!!!" I almost shouted the last part, forgetting about our parents at the door and Josh sitting right in front of me. I could tell Josh was getting uncomfortable.
"And that's all I needed to hear from you." He says.
"So you really love me?" I ask.
"Of course I do, who wouldn't love you?" He says.
"Why are you being so sweet. Your suppose to be a jock!?!?" I say.
"What jocks can't have a sweet side?" He says.
I just laugh.
"So I'll see you tomorrow at school?" He asks.
"Of course, meeting you in first period like always." I say.
"Okay see you then. I love you!" He says.
"I love you too!" I say.
After we end the call, Josh's parents called him to leave. Before he could, I grabbed his wrist pulling him back and said "now what was the other thing you wanted to tell me?"
"Oh nothing. It's not important now." He says.
"Oh course it's important. Just tell me!" I say.
"No it can wait. My parents are calling anyways." He says.
"Well okay. I'll talk to you tonight right?? Text me okay!!" I say.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He says as I pull him into a hug. We always do this when we say goodbye. He kisses my hair like he always does. He's tall figure at 6' foot against my short figure of 5' foot always worked out for perfect hugs. We stood hugging for a long time. I was kind of regretting telling Alec that I loved him. I think I was actually falling for Josh too. Whoops?
