We all rushed out of the stables and into the night. As usual, Joshi and Jasumin took Rubi, while me and Megan were forced to ride our bikes. I was honestly surprised that no one took them or they were still in one piece.
We were wasting no time trying to Tamashi. I was going to see grandpa if it was the last thing I'll do.
???'s Pov.
I have confirmed it. They are idiots. Pure, stupid idiots. I jumped out of the hole, and followed after them. With Paki close behind, we headed to Tamashi square.
"How flippin' stupid do you have to be, to go back to the place where all the hunters are?!?!?"
"Don't ask me question that I can't answer." I say bluntly. She gives me a glare and sticks her tongue out at me. I simply flick her forehead. "Ow", she says rubbing the spot I flicked her.
We gain some speed to try to catch up with the idiots. Of course, when you're trained to practically be a super soldier, it shouldn't be that hard to catch four girls, but when the girls have a dragon and two bikes, it can be difficult.
I ignore the fact, and think what will happen if we didn't help them.
We would both end up dead.
Kuro's Pov.
After making it pass the country side, we make it to the city. It was choas. People were hurrying with their belongings, trying to get out. At first, I didn't understand why.
That was until I looked in the distance.
The sky was cloud covered and behind it was a crimson sunset. Flames stuck out of buildings, seemingly looking for a escape. Ashes and snow fell from the sky, forming small piles on top of some of the missing pieces to the broken buildings. Hunters patrolled the empty alleyways and streets.
All hope of finding my grandpa was vanquished.
The others were far behind me at this point, still trying to beat the crowd. After awhile they seemed to give up.
I, on the other hand, did not.
???'s Pov
Practically flying above people's heads, we climbed our way into the city.
It seemed that the girls gave up trying to get in, and instead, waited in hiding. I was incredibly confused, until after a quick head count, notice one was missing. Oh the joys that life has to offer.
After telling Paki to watch the others, I headed into the belly of the beast.
With all the skills I've learned thus far, I finally found her.
She was in a rather small house, just big enough for a family of two. It seemed to have a upstairs, but I couldn't tell if it was an attic. There was a rather large hole in the side so that I could look in. She was the somewhat center, looking very worried.
"Grandpa?"
"Grandpa, where are you?"
Salty tears formed in her eyes as she yelled louder.
"Grandpa, please!"
I so wanted to stop her, for one, she could lure a hunter here, and two it was very sad. But, something stopped me. I don't know what.
"G-Grandpa?"
Her faith slowly fading.
"Grandpa!....."
She slowly slid to her knees.
"No.....", she said in a whisper.
She huddled in a small ball. It was at this point where I noticed the bird trying to comfort her, but to no avail. The bird also seem sad, but was trying to tough it out.
The girl would not move.
The girl would not speak.
She wouldn't even think.
All she had and all she knew was taken away from her.
