Seven in the morning and it's still dark. Ryan pulls the duvet over his head. "Get up Ryan or you'll be late for school again!" He could hear his mom calling from the kitchen. "Just let me rest for five more minutes!" he yelled back. The door opened slowly. He could see something behind it, it was a small figure. "Brother, come get your breakfast already," his little sister said. "Fine I'm up," he surrendered. He quickly grabbed a random shirt from his closet and went down stairs. He always hated the winter. The cold, the darkness. He walked into the kitchen and took a plate with eggs and bacon. His little sister, Katelyn, has an illness so she can't go to school. Now she has to be home schooled by his mom. His mom walked into the room, giving Ryan the car keys. "Son, what time will you be getting off from work today?" she asked. Ryan has been working to help out his mom since his dad ran away with a other woman. "Just before four pm," he said. His mom also works night shift at the hospital. Ryan finished his breakfast and cleaned his plate before he left. Since his dad left they had to move to this house that is right next to this forest. Ryan didn't mind the whole moving to a new house thing, usually he just ignores the problem.

"Ah dammit, I'm late again," he said stopping in his parking space at school. "Teach is going to kill me," he said rushing to class. As he ran into class they were already busy with first period. Everyone gave him a blank expression, everyone except Nate. Nate and Ryan has known each other since the third grade. "So glad you could join us Ryan," his teacher said sarcastically. "Sorry I'm late," he responded. Ryan hurried to take his seat in front of Nate. Nate leaned forward to whisper something to Ryan. "Hey, did you oversleep again?" he said giggling . "You two, do you have something to share with the class?" his teacher asked. "No sir, nothing at all," Nate said."Well then, lets continue with class," his teacher said turning to the next page. After class he went to his locker to get his chemistry book. His eyes wandered and then he saw her. Lia. He has had a crush on her since the fourth grade. They were close but they became distant since they came to high school. She was smart, talented and athletic. Her long brown hair reaching her waist. He looked away realizing he was staring to long. When he got to chemistry class Nate was waiting for him. "Hey man, did you hear about that murder in the forest?" Nate asked. "Who hasn't it is all over the news," Ryan said. "Wanna go check it out tonight?" Nate asked grinning. "Sure, after I finished work and dropped off the car." Ryan's' grades weren't too bad but they weren't good either. After school Ryan went to the car. Someone left a note on the wind screen. He didn't recognize the hand writing.

Don't go into the forest. He's waiting for you. Your life will change and sacrifices will have to be made. Don't go...

"What the hell, is this some kind of joke?" he said throwing away the paper. When he got to work he noticed that the air got warmer, but the sun was still out. Ryan worked at the bakery close to his house. That way it was easy to get to work and go home. As he opened the door to his house he heard someone in the kitchen. He saw his mom talking with a man. He was dressed in a black suit. He had leather gloves on. White long hair tied back in a pony tail. Ryan couldn't hear them talk but could make out a few words. When they started coming near him, he hurried upstairs. The man suddenly stopped. "Did he notice me?" Ryan whispered to himself. The man stood for a while and then kept on walking. He greeted Ryan's' mom and left. His mom went back to the kitchen. Ryan followed after her curiously. "Hey mom, who was that?" he asked. His mom got startled. "Aren't you suppose to be at work?" she asked. "I called in sick," Ryan said grinning. "Ok, well I have to leave for work now," she said and took the car keys. "Drive safe," he said as she left. Katelyn walked into kitchen and started to make her some coffee. "Damn, mom never answered my question," he said. "Oh well, will ask her tomorrow," he said as he turned to his sister. "Hey Katelyn, Nate and I will be going out for a bit, do you think you can hold down the fort until I get back?" he asked her. "Yes, just get home before eleven. " Thanks, I'll bring you something sweet when I get back," he said as he grabbed his jacket and left.

Luckily the forest wasn't that far. He could see Nate waiting in his Jeep. Ryan knocked on the window scaring Nate half to death. "What the hell man! I was busy winning," Nate said. "You play clash of clans way too much," Ryan said laughing. "Lets go already," Nate said irritable. They walked for a few minutes when it suddenly got dark. They could see something up ahead. It was a bright light. They moved through the bushes. There was a man dressed all in black. "It's that guy," Ryan whispered. "What guy?" Nate asked. The man had his back towards them. He was standing at a fire. "He was at my house earlier," Ryan said. Suddenly the man turned around. His eyes were full of bloodlust. "He's looking right at us man!" Nate said panicking. "So nice for you to make it, Mr. Parker," the man said grinning. "Ah shit I think we should run," Nate said. They turned around and ran. After a while they noticed nobody was following them. They stopped to catch their breath. "What the hell! What is a guy like that doing in a forest?" Nate asked. "I don't know," Ryan said. Then he remembered the note he got."Hey Nate, did you put some weird note on my windscreen today?" Ryan asked. Nate sat against the tree closest to him. "No, what note?" he asked curiously. "It said not to come and that someone is waiting here for me." The mysterious man suddenly appeared behind Ryan. "That must have been one of my colleagues," he said. Ryan fell to the ground and scurried away. "Sorry my bad, my name is Rai but my friends call me Taurus," he said grinning. He walked closer to Ryan. Slowly taking one step at a time. Ryan had his back against a tree. He's trapped. Nate already passed out from the fear. Ryan suddenly couldn't breathe. Then he noticed the man had his hand around his neck. Ryan tried to fight it but he couldn't. He was slowly losing his vision. Then air started to rush into his lungs. He fell to his knees. When he looked up he saw someone. He saw a man with a tattoo on his hand. Then he realized this man saved him. The man crouched down beside Ryan. "Your safe now," he said. "Who are you?" Ryan asked breathing heavily. "I'm Capricorn and you're my master."
