I hadn't seen him in months so when I saw him on the other side of the road naturally I was surprised.

My heart sunk to the bottom of my chest and emotions I thought where long gone started to surface. My heart started beating faster and I honestly felt light headed. I put my head down hoping he wouldn't see me then I quickly stopped myself. I wasn't that little girl who fell in love with my brothers best friend anymore. I was a woman now. I picked myself up and raised my head. My heels clicked along the pavement as I naturally swayed my hips.

I caught the eye of the man he was walking with and smirked at him. He nudged Marcus and pointed in my direction. Marcus raised his head from his phone to look at what his friend was looking at. He froze when we made eye contact whilst his friend approached me with the biggest grin on his face.

"Hey, what's a fine lady like you doing out this late all by yourself?" he shouted for across the road.

"Looking to go out with my girl and have a good time," I said with a smile as he crossed the road to speak to me.

Just as I said that Keisha walked out of her block. She saw me talking to the guy and she smiled at me in approval.

"I see your already making friends," she laughed whilst approaching us, "Hi my name is Keisha and you are?"

"Harrell," he said losing all interest in me and keeping eye contact with my beautiful friend.

"Do you live around here cause I don't think I've seen you about before?" She asked him.

"No, just came to see a friend," he said taking her hands and playing with them.

I coughed and they both looked at me blushing. I could still fell the burning stare of Marcus.

"Ayo Marcus," Harrell shouted for his friend, "come over here and say hi man, ating like a little boy"

Marcus took his time to cross the road to approach us.

"Urm hi," he said looking at me.

"Ladies this is my boy Marcus," he said patting him on the shoulder, " and Marcus this is Keisha and..."

"Ayana?" Marcus said as if in question.

"Yeah," I muttered looking away from his intense gaze.
