A Walk to Remember

Every girl dreams of that one perfect moment where she will walk down the aisle in that Cinderella inspired wedding gown and glass slipper shoes while her  Groom is in tears gazing at her like she's the most beautiful woman he ever laid his eyes to waiting on the other end..

For Maine this is not just a dream come true but also an answered prayer since that fateful day she met Rj 5 years ago. Their journey to this day wasn't like rainbows and unicorns but as they always say : IKAW AT AKO WALANG IWANAN.  In a few hours she will be Mrs. Nicomaine Mendoza-Faulkerson❤️

In an undisclosed location, the venue is jam packed on a Saturday afternoon while everyone is waiting for the Wedding to start, December 08, 2018 it states on the invitation. Today marks their 2nd year Anniversary and also the day they decided to exchange I Do's in an intimate closed door ceremony. Since Rj and Maine were public figures they have decided to keep their wedding day a very private one, only close family and friends were invited. 

At exactly 6:00 pm the doors opened. Maine entered the church with Tatay Dub and Nanay Dub  taking her to the man whom they wholeheartedly entrust her future with.

She took a deep breath as the orchestra started playing "Brighter than Sunshine" for her Wedding March making an eye contact while smiling at the crowd, then her gaze stopped at this specific pair of  brown eyes caught her outmost attention.. There he was crying like a baby staring straight to her eyes just like the first time they met.

As she take every step, the memories from 16 July 2015  to date started flashing on her head. Their first glance, their first conversation, his efforts of making her believe that second chances doesn't always mean that we have to be with the same person but instead starting anew with someone who truly deserves it, their endless inside jokes that made the whole ADN wonder , their road trips and mini adventures, the day he asked her and she said YES.. What she didn't noticed was her tears started falling, who would've thought that a simple girl from Bulacan will get her own happy ever after..

Sampung hakbang.. She stopped walking, as she faced her Tatay and Nanay she whispered: Tay, Nay eto na to wala ng atrasan.. Thank you for everything, I may not be the most perfect daughter all these years but you never ever failed to remind me how special I'am and how much you love me for that I will Forever be grateful.. I Love You Both so Much. Maine's parents hugged and kissed her while they started to get emotional..

Siyam na hakbang.. This time Tatay Dub gave his piece: Anak mahal na mahal ka namin ng nanay mo palagi mo yang tatandaan at lahat ng magpapaligaya sayo palagi kaming nasa likod mo, si Tisoy worth it yan kaya napapayag kami ng nanay mo na mapaaga ng 3 taon kasal nyo.Ingatan nyo isat isa dahil mula ngayon sya na ang palaging kakampi mo.

Walong hakbang.. Nanay Dub giving her piece: Nak eto na ilang hakbang nalang pero parang di pa ako ready i let go ang baby girl ko pero dahil this is what you've been dreaming of papalayain ka na namin ng Tatay mo live happily with RJ hanggang tumanda kayo. Minsan lng ako naniwala na may destiny sa inyo pa nangyari. I Love You Meng remember that always..

Pitong hakbang..

Anim .. Limang hakbang... Rj walked to meet Maine and her Parents to pay respects..

TD: Rj... anak .. alam mo na.. Ikaw na bahala sa princessa ko malaki tiwala ko sayo. Welcome to the Family..
Rj: (Crying like a baby while he hugged TD) Opo Tay. Maraming maraming salamat po.

ND: Rj.. Ibibigay namin sayo ngayon ang isa sa pinakamahalagang regalo sa amin ni God. Kampante ako na iingatan mo sya gaya ng pgiingat namin sa kanya and as for you anak meron ka ng bagong nanay hindi ko man kayang higitan Mommy mo pero asahan mo hinding hindi mo na mararamdaman na may kulang sa pagkatao mo m. Welcome to our Family..

Rj hugged ND: Nay salamat po ng madaming madami dahil hindi kayo nagdalawang isip na akuin ako bilang anak nyo..

Apat na hakbang..
As Rj took her hand and whispered to her ears.. YOU ARE WORTH IT LOVE. Maine wiped his tears then answered " IKAW DIN LOVE .. IKAW DIN"

TATLO, DALAWA, ISA... He was about to take his next step to the altar when.. of course clumsy RJ almost tripped..

M: Love di kita kinakaya hahahahah grabe ka sa akin nageemo ako eh..

" Yan po ang tinatawag na falling all over again" Rj said jokingly which caused everyone to switch from crying happy tears into burst of laughter.

FATHER: We are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of RJ and MAINE in Marriage....

FATHER: As you join yourselves in marriage, there is a vast and unknown future stretching out before you. The possibilities and potentials of your married life are great; and now falls upon your shoulders the task of choosing your values and making real your dreams. Through your commitment to each other, may you grow and nurture a love that makes both of you better people, a love that continues to give you great joy and most importantly always place God as the center of your relationship for he will guide you always...

FATHER: For every wedding I officiate this has always been my favourite part.. The Vows. Richard, Maine please face each other as you recite your vows to each other..
