Chapter 30

Piper

That night I quietly slipped out of the Aphrodite cabin and made my way to the Zeus cabin. I knew he was probably sleeping with just his boxers on, but I also knew that he didn't care what I saw. I tiptoed across the room and stopped at his bed. 

"Jason?" I whispered. He groggily looked up at me. 

"Pipes? What's wrong?" He sat up and held the blanket back for me. I had guessed correctly on what he was wearing. I quickly pushed that thought to the back of my mind and crawled into bed with him. 

"I just want to be held." I said. 

"Well, I can do that." He said and wrapped his arms around me. We lay like that for quite some time, my head against his bare chest, his hands exploring my back. It felt nice. 

"Do you think she is ok?" I asked. 

He looked down at me. "It's Hazel. She can hold out long enough for you, Frank, and Nico to go rescue her." He said. I nodded. After a few minutes he tilted my chin up and kissed me.

"Don't worry. Everything will be fine," he whispered. I smiled. The night didn't seem so dark now. 

"I love you, Jason." 

"I love you too, Piper." 

I sighed and fell asleep in his safe arms.
