Chapter one

"Hurry it up" my mom yells down the stairs, I roll my eyes. I grab my last bag and run down the steps, "quit running" my mom scolds me. I look her up and down, she's wearing a long skirt and modest shirt, her usual attire. "Hurry and get in the car, you're fathers waiting" she rushes me. "Aren't you coming?" I raise my eyebrows. She purses her lips and shakes her head no. As she does my dad walks in, he sees my face and begins to explain "your mother has decided not to go annie" my dad frowns. "Julianna" my mom corrects him and I roll my eyes. BANG! She slams her fist down on the table "Julianna I will not have this type of behavior from you! Just because you are going of to college does not mean you can start acting like a hooligan!" She yells, she mad, I can tell because her number one rule is no yelling in the house. "Yes ma'am" I say, but when I turn I roll my eyes again, and I have a feeling she knows. When we get out to the car Luke is there waiting for us, I kiss him and we get into the car. Like is my boyfriend of four years, even though we've known eachother since birth. He hold my hand as we begin our journey, six hours all the way from Georgia to get to the university of Florida. Another thing my scolds me for, picking a college so far away. Little does she know I want to get as far away from her as possible. We rumble along the road and the silence makes my eyes heavy, and before long I'm asleep.

Luke shakes me awake and tells me to get out of the car, palm trees are the first thing I see, beautiful and tall "welcome to the university of Florida" the sign reads as we pass by. We pull up to a large dorm and dad parks out front. The first thing the welcomes me when I get out is the heat, "woah" I stumble. Luke grabs my hand and we begin to walk it. A lady at the front desk greets us, she has a warm smile and light brown hair. "How can I help you?" She asks. Dad begins to give her my information as me and like walk around, "wait up!" She yells and hands up the key to my room "you guys go on up and your father can finish the rest of the information while you check your room out" she smiles. I thank her as I grab the key and me and like descend up the steps.

When we finally get to the room were greated by a guy laying shirtless on the bed, "what is this?!" Luke becomes red "I thought there was a rule about co-ed rooms?" Luke yells. I grab his arm to calm him down. "Chill, I'm just your roommates friend, she's in the bathroom" he laughs. Right on cue a girl walks out of the bathroom, she looks suprised to see us there. "Oh hi! I'm liv" she smiles warmly "sorry to leave to quickly but I've got somewhere to be, ill catch up with you later" she smiles and the guy that was on her bed follows her out the door, he peeks his head back in one last time "I'm Brennan" and with that he shuts the door.
