"Alex, Alex, Alex wait up...please."

I turn around smirking a little bit half expecting,  half hoping that it was Mason chasing after me......but it wasn't. I change my expression into a more cheery smile to greet my best friend Chloe chasing after me.

"Hey, what's up?" I say.

She smiles at me pushing a piece of her perfect blond hair behind her ear.

"OH MY GOSH! Did you see that man hunk, Mason?" She says in her high pitched overly cheery voice.

I giggle a little bit, but quickly cover it with my hand.

"I MEAN SERIOUSLY, THAT BOY HAD A JAWLINE THAT COULD CUT STONE!" She says.

I giggle a little more.

"I know right," I say.

We continue on giggling and chatting to each other until we reach campus.

"Well, I have got to go, finals are starting this week so I am going to go to the library and get some material," I say.

"Ok, if you want we can study tonight," she says adjusting her bag on her shoulder.

"Sure," I say walking away, "bye."

I open the door to the auditorium and as I do I hear the sour voice of my Chemistry 1 teacher shout,

"Mrs. Perrine If you would be so kind to come to class on time instead of running on your own schedule."

I feel blood rush to my face as I realize that everyone is starring at me snickering.

"Sorry," I  say and I sink into the chair closest to me.

I sit through the lecture taking aimless notes. Then I hear the long awaited "ding" of the timer and we are then dismissed.

The day carries on till the end of my last class. We are dismissed, but I am pulled aside by my teacher, Mr. Flatts.

"Mrs.Perrine may I discuss something with you?" he says in a superior way.

"Sure," I say shoving books into my bag.

"You know that this class is very difficult and that you as a pre-med student must pass it, and with finals coming up you need to get at least a "C" on the test for a overall passing grade." I nod.

"The reason I am telling you this is about 2/3 the students in this class will not pass and the 1/3 that will, only one of those students will pass with an "A" "B" average," he says, " I believe wholeheartedly that student will be you."

I smile.

"Really?" I say.

"Yes,  just make sure that you do well on this final," he says.

"I WILL! I WILL!," I say becoming more excited every second.

"Thank you so much," I say.

I turn and skip my way out of the room.
