The sun was shining, it was a beautiful day for a party. Mrs. Graham had moved the tables outside so everyone would have plenty of room. They were celebrating her daughter’s graduation from University.
“Who all did you invite, that we need so much room?” Anastasia asked her mother.
“Oh, just a few people. The Weasley’s and some of your school friends.”
“Which Weasley’s?” Ana asked a little too strongly.
“All of them, Dear.” her mother answered.
“All of them! Not Fred and George?”
“Yes, of course, dear. The Weasley’s are our closest wizard friends. Molly Weasley has been my dear friend and guide since we discovered you and your sister were witches. You were in the same grade at Hogwarts as Fred and George and now you‘re dating their brother, of course I invited them.”
Anastasia and Nadine were muggle born witches. As much as Fred and George looked alike, that’s how much Ana and Nad, didn’t. Nadine was a tall, thin, blue-eyed, blonde and just oozed sex appeal. She was also friendly and outgoing. Anastasia was more quiet and reserved, not as tall, but she had curves in all the right places; with dark hair and dark sultry eyes. Since Molly Weasley had twins the same age, Molly was assigned by the Ministry of Magic to be the Graham family guide to the Wizarding world.
Ana went upstairs to find her sister. Nadine was really the only one that understood how much she hated Fred Weasley, George wasn’t as bad. Granted, he would laugh when Fred teased her, but he never called her that name Fred always called her.
“That’s not what you’re wearing to the party is it?” Nadine asked Ana the minute she walked into her room.
“What’s wrong with it?” Ana asked.
“You look like a bloody librarian.” Nadine commented. “And with your hair in that tight bun, I don’t know how you don’t have a headache.”
“There’s nothing wrong with how I’m dressed and Percy likes my hair up.”
“He would.” Nadine whispered.
Both girls went downstairs to welcome their guests. Everyone had arrived, so Ana joined Percy, who kissed her lightly on the cheek. They had a relatively peaceful dinner. Probably because Fred was sitting at the other end of the table.
After the dinner dishes had been cleared and everyone was sitting around talking, Percy pulled out a little jewelry box. The entire group gathered around to watch Ana open her gift. She was sure her mother was hoping it was an engagement ring, but she knew Percy wouldn’t do that so publicly. Ana opened the little box to discover a diamond heart necklace. It was lovely and he helped her put it on. Everyone came by to admire it. Unfortunately, when Fred came by for a look, he said, “Let’s see it Nasty.”
Ana lost it. She screamed at Fred. “Fred Weasley, don’t you come to my home and call me that disgusting name! How dare you. I want you off my property right this minute.” and she ran crying into the house and up to her old bedroom. Percy followed her upstairs to comfort her.
“Not cool Fred.” Nadine told him.
“What’d I say?” he asked dumbfounded. He had always called her Nasty. He thought it was cute.
“Fred, it was never cute. I mean, really, can you imagine walking into the Great Hall and there you sit, one of the most popular boys in the school, and announce to the crowd, ‘Did anyone order a Nasty-gram?”
“Everyone laughed.” Fred defended himself.
“Maybe everyone you were sitting with laughed, Ana never laughed when you called her that. Often times she cried. It got so bad, I didn’t think she was coming back after the Yule Ball.”
