What does the internet mean to you?

WQ: It used to be that the internet was just for searching information, or watching videos, but now it's not the same. Because I filmed a webdrama, the internet became a way to get to know me.

What was the impact of《Counter-attack》for you?

WQ: The drama changed me from an ordinary college student to now having so many people like and follow me; my life has dramatically changed compared to then.

Does being called the name "dad" please you?

WQ: Haha, this is what everyone likes so if they're happy, I'm happy too.

What do you think are the differences between webdramas, films and tv shows?

WQ: For these three it might be the filming style, the themes for each broadcast platforms differ as well, but for me it's the participation. For the process of characterization, there's not much of a difference, either way I will do my best to do the job well.

If there was no internet, what would you do?

WQ: It would probably be like my life now. Wake up in the morning to make breakfast, then go running until noon and then to school if I have class. If no class, then prepare some things for the next time I do. In short, go back to being an ordinary student haha.

How will you develop your career?

WQ: My thoughts are to dabble in different kinds of fields, more exposure with a touch of freshness, thus it'll give oneself a more comprehensive range.

What's the importance of fans? Have you never bought them?

WQ: Fans are my confidence! They are extremely important to me! Buy fans? How would I buy them haha! Of course not!

Have you ever been hacked before? How would you handle it?

WQ: Ah, definitely I've been hacked. I think no matter how hard you try, it's impossible to make everyone like you; it's difficult to cater to all tastes. I always take everything seriously, every job, and give back to my fans and to those who hack me.

Is the internet you the real you? What kind of person are you in real life?

WQ: The internet me is the real me, but to be exact it's not the comprehensive me, because I haven't had much time or opportunities to display every side of myself. In my daily life I have scheduled things that I do accordingly, so life is very regular. It can be said, I'm a more tough person at heart.

What are the principles that you live life by?

WQ: My principle is to be strong and protect the people beside me.

How much does WeChat and Weibo fill your life?

WQ: 20 to 30%, WeChat and Weibo for me are things I don't have to check, but I wouldn't be without.

Now that the internet effects people's lives and occupies large amounts of time in the day, how do you manage your time?

WQ: First I'll do what's scheduled and then in my spare time is when I check Weibo and WeChat.

In your eyes, what do you think is cool?

WQ: I think trying hard doing the things you enjoy makes a person very cool.
