It was late in the afternoon when I started yet another story, "Once upon a time, there lived a prince and a princess..."
" No, not again. This is unfair!"
I had just been interrupted by three year old.
My sister had somehow managed to talk me into babysitting her three children. Again. Don't get me wrong, I love them to bits, but this is the fourth story to end in, 'And they all lived happily ever after.' I never really understood my niece's fascination with these books. They are all the same. Yet she still has about eight of them. My two nephews, on the other hand, are more into animal stories. But with Emily being the oldest, she always gets her way. She turned six last week. Matt is the youngest he's three and his brother Nick is four.
"Okay, fine. I'll make you a deal" I said, "I'll tell you an amazing bedtime story, but only if you go get ready for bed."
All three of them jumped up and ran off to their bedroom. When I walked in, they were all in bed and ready for my story. I then proceeded to tell them all about the three little children who lived in the jungle. They had everything they could possibly want. All three of them where fast asleep before I was even finished. I was glad that I finally had the house to myself. I sat down in the living room - I was surrounded by toys, books, puzzles, and crayons. I sighed as I got up and started to tidy the mess that my sisters children had left for me. Once I was done my best friend Kim called.
" Hey Kim. What's up?" I said
" Hey Sofie. I was just at your house and your mom told me you were babysitting. I called your sister and asked if t was cool if I came over. I'll be there in a few" she told me
"Cool." I said, "Don't forget to bring food"
"I'm just about to pick up the pizza" she said just before she hung up......
By the time my sister got home, Kim and I were passed out on the couch after our Bachelor marathon. With pizza boxes and empty ice cream buckets everywhere. My sister, being the great person she is, threw blankets over us and sent Kim's mom a text saying that she would spend the night.
