Judgement

Mountains and snow lay ahead of my eyes,

the view was tremendous,

the sky full of white bubbly clouds,

blankets of silky, smooth ice surrounded my feet,

I stood still for a second taking in the scene,

it may be the last time I look upon my village,

I grew up here,

the people were always so sweet,

My first love was here to,

he seemed like one of the good guys!

but I was greatly wrong with my judgement,

he let my secret out,

 Now where I stand I can see them all gathering,

they surround me to form a circle,

I watch as the children begin to mock and laugh,

people standing with fiery torches blazing in front of their frightened eyes,

Now I wait for the slight crack to appear beneath me as they throw their torches down,

the strong heat beneath me grows stronger,

my already cold feet feel the tip of the freezing water,

what waited beneath me made me feel sick,

and these people watching...waiting,

they continued to stare until the fall..
