I was hiding amongst wooden crates as the riot started up.
I was on a boat headed to Australia when it happened and honestly, I was scared for my life. No one here knew my secret and it was only because I recreated myself as a man, that I could get where I was. I remember looking up as the Captain of our boat crashed into the crates where I was, that was my chance and I didn't waste a second of it. I leapt over the crates and landed in a primeval crouch; my shiv held in front of me the crates and the Captain behind. I heard several shouts and grumbles as the crowd continued to advance on us.
"Step back!" I shouted "I'm warning you step back or I WILL use this!" I warned again brandishing the wicked point in front of me. They all looked from me to the shiv and back again before stepping away, the Captain crouched and cowered behind me as I led him back to the wheel.
"What's your name?" He asked me timidly as though I might turn and harm him at any moment.
"Neelad." I replied my back still to him and my eyes scanning the crowd.
"Thank you Neelad; you saved my life." He chocked out tearing up at the thought of what the other passengers would have done.
"Get me to Australia, and you will save mine." I explained turning to take him in. His honey yellow eyes contrasting beautifully with his black hair and brown skin, he looked to be about five years my senior placing him at 23 years old. My heart fluttered as I returned to scanning
And that's how I met you're father and got here; but that was back in 1991 though and now we are married and have you three now.
"But mummy weren't you a boy back then?"
Only for pretend sweetie, only for pretend.
A/N. she was telling the story to the three kids ages ranging from 15-6 thts why the ending was so innocent but the story had heaps of 'adult' references.
