"Olivia. Sweetheart. Wake up!" Harry's raspy voice called out to me. "Are the other boys awaken?" I groaned. "Not yet, I take early mornings hunting shift." He replies. "Would you like to join me?" He asks. "Alright, alright. Just let me get ready." I said, before Harry gives me a light kiss on the nose. "Alright then," He walks out of my room. Welcome to the life of me, Olivia Whisps. Me,Harry,Liam ,Niall,Zayn and Louis live in Britain. We're all British and we live in a small cottage. Britain has broken down to become.. this. Ever since a war between Britain and the United States. They dropped 4 bombs, and those took out everything. My mum and dad were in the blast. So were the boys' parents and even family. Why are we alive you ask? We were visiting Austrailia. I walk out of bed, staring into an old crafted mirror of mine, seeing I look like a complete mess. I walk to the bathroom, and start taking a low maintenance shower. We live in a very tiny village, and when I say tiny, I mean tiny. There's only about 12 houses around here, so I don't even know if you can consider this a 'village'.
I dried off, and slid on some hunting clothes, the casual winter jacket with an old shirt underneath, boots, and pants. Just enough to keep me warm. I walk to the kitchen, where I gather hunting supplies and bait, and cram it into a backpack. "Ready?" Harry says, leaning onto the door's frame. "Yes Harold," I say before giving out a light laugh. We walk to the forests, we secretly hide our weapons in the forests, wrapped carefully with waterproof wrap. The lead of this small village says we cannot hunt in territory. Well, that rule has been broken already.
I sling my quiver over my left shoulder, and steady my bow in front of my slim body. One deer can give us a pound of berries, or two loaves of fresh bread. One rabbit can give us half a pound of strawberries, or blueberries, which ever one fancies you. Finally, one squirrel can give us the rest of the supplies we need in small amounts. The sound of leaves brushing against each other fills the forest. "Quick, let's climb." I say, my foot on an oak tree. Harry follows after me. A deer is chewing on something, when I manage to fire one arrow into it's body. It collapses onto the ground, but it's not dead yet. Harry climbs down and finishes it off with his hunting knife. I'm better at range and survival, while Harry is good at traps and knife throwing.
"Well done," Harry smirks at me from below. "Whatever," I roll my eyes, and land onto my feet as I get off the tree. "I'll carry the deer back home, you want to come?" He raises his eyebrows. "No thanks, I'll attempt to try and catch more game, meet you back home Harold!" I shout, waving 'bye' to him. Suddenly, I hear running, it sounds like a squirrel, but it could also be a rabbit. I steady my bow, aiming at the area where I believe the animal is, and shoot. The sound of something falling erupts. I move the branches around the bush, to see it's two squirrels. I smirk. I hold them by their furry tails and walk home with the game.
"Whoa, whoa there miss professional." Zayn says, backing up. "Shut up Zayn," I laugh. I place them onto the counter. "Niall can bring these for trade at the market, correct?" I raise my left eyebrow. "Of course, love." Louis smiles, while scavenging for food in the pantry.
I wash my hands, and once again, collapse onto my bed, slowly drifting off to sleep.
