Chapter 12/Astrid meets Valka

Hiccup

Wow, things been so weird these past five years. First, I reunited with Astrid, who is a Dragon Vigilante with the ability to communicate with Dragons and now, I reunite with my long-lost mother, who thought everyone on Berk she was dead. Mom said, "Hic, you all right?" I realize that I haven't pay much attention. "Oh, sorry about that, Mom. I was just thinking about something." She looks at me and asks, "What were thinking about, Son?" I said, "Well, do you ever considering of coming back home? Berk has changed a lot since you disappeared." She said, "Um, I really don't know if I can handle it, Hiccup. What if Stoick doesn't like me?" I laughed, "Don't worry about a thing, Mom. You're not the only person who is still struggling with coming back to Berk as much as you do." She was confused of why I was saying that. As she was going to ask why, I noticed a familiar dragon coming in for a landing. "Hey, Toothless, isn't that your Deadly Nadder friend?" The Dragon landed and Astrid pants. "Man, what a flight. Hiccup, there you are!" Uh, this is not how I picture of telling Astrid.

Astrid

Whoa, I had to give this place a thumbs up! I never seen so many dragons in one place. I saw Hic with an unknown woman next to him. "Man, what a flight. Hiccup, there you are! Luna and the others are waiting back in the Cov-Oh. Who is that with you, Hiccup?" I asked. Hiccup seems to be blushing and said, "Well, I guess that I should explain. This is my mother, Valka Haddock." I was in total shock, "Wait, Valka? As in Stoick's wife?" She nods, "Pleasure to meet you, uh..." "He hasn't told you yet, didn't he? My real name is Astrid Hofferson, but the dragons call me Nita Flamewing. Hiccup was the first one to know my true self and then his sister." "Sister?" She repeats in confusion. "Her name is Luna. We adopted her and what you mean that the others are waiting?" Astrid said, "I've been thinking about what I've said to Luna. I'm going to reveal to myself to Snoutlout and the others." Hic was in total shock. "What?!? Astrid, are you sure this is a good idea?" "Hiccup, It's going to be harder for me to keep my secret longer than it already is." Val said, "She may be have a point. Face it, Hiccup, you can't stop her. I'll be here until you came back." He hugs his mom, "I'll be back as soon as possible." 

Snoutlout

We waited for a while now and we were worried. "Ok, this is starting to get weird. Where in the world Hic gone off to this time?" Luna asked. A voice said, "Sorry to keep you all waiting!" We looked up to see a Nadder with her Rider and Toothless and Hiccup coming in for a landing. "Hey, guys." Hic greets us. Luna said, "Where you been? I was getting worried about you and Toothless." Hic chuckles, "Well, something happened and I lost track of time. Sorry." I rolled my eyes, "Hiccup, Luna told us it's something to do with Astrid. I know that you said she isn't gone." That's when he nodded. "Yeah, what I've said is actually true. Are you sure you still want to do this? It's a big risk, you know." "I'm positive. Hey, Snoutlout. It's been a while." I was in total shock that she knew my name. I walked towards her and look deep into her eyes. I couldn't believe it. "A-Astrid?" I said. Fish legs said, "What you say, Snoutlout?" I turned to the others, "Guys, without a doubt, it's Astrid! She's here, alive!" She was blushing, "Snoutlout, com'on, you really don't be dramatic about my return to Berk, right?" The others were a bit overwhelm, and I asked, "Can Astrid and I have a talk alone?" "Sure." Luna said. They left us and Astrid seems to be overwhelmed of seeing me again. "Hey, you alright?" I asked her. "It's overwhelming seeing all of you again. I'm sorry I left without telling you. Hiccup told me all about what you've been doing these past five years." I was shocked. "Wait, he told you?" I asked in amazement, "How did he react when he found out it was you?" "He was shaken, I give you that." Firebird came towards us and Astrid jumped in total surprise! "Another Nightmare? I thought that Hookfang was the last one!" "Oh, no, my dear cousin. Firebird is my dragon." "Wait, he's yours?" She asks. "Yeah. Why you ask?" She approaches him and I feared that she would be burned by his flames, suddenly, she wasn't speaking in Norse, it sounds like another language I don't understand. What is happening here? Hiccup touches me in the shoulder, "Surprised to see Astrid talking like that, Snoutlout?" "Hiccup?!?" I cried in surprise. Was he watching us this whole time?
