She drowns her sadness by going to sleep
though every night
her nightmares give her more pain and sadness that stabs her heart way too deep.
In her dream
an ear piercing scream
that fills the tense air
it calls out for help in agony and despair.
"Come here." said the tricking voice
and as darkness follows behind her,
she obliges, because she has no choice.
She follows, as the voice leads
to a monster before her eyes, whom on sad and dark souls it feeds.
"Let me take over you," the voice commands
she shakes her head no, with trembling hands
for words could not be formed
as anger in the monster's eyes had stormed.
The voice laughs heartlessly
"worthless that you are!
I don't know how you've even survived your life so far."
The girl watches with a broken heart
feeling it shatter,
part by part.
She wakes up suddenly, her eyes filled with tears
her bravery has been thrown out the window
replaced with her never-ending fears.
She struggles and struggles, yet she still has a spark of hope
that maybe one day,she could be happy, and with her life she could cope.
