CHAPTER 12

Aurora's POV

It's been a couple weeks since dad told us we're vampires. We took the thing as best as we could but with dad constantly repeating a bunch of stuff about it it's starting to get hard to get used to.

He's been giving us books on it, explaining it and asking mom to help us understand. I sat with mom in the kitchen going over one of the books he gave me on the ways a vampire can die.

"Now there are many ways a vampire can die. We can either be shot in the head, decapitated, stabbed through the heart or have holy water touch us." Said mom.

"That's it?" I asked stunned that it sad just four things.

"Yeah, just about."

I smiled at the fact that almost nothing could happen to us. It feels great to have complete safety for eternity. I didn't think that we'd have so little to learn compared to the amount of stuff dad brought. Then, a question popped into my head.

"Where do vampires live exactly?" I asked.

"In kingdom's spread out across the world. Vampires outside of their kingdom risk losing their abilities." mom replied scrolling through her phone.

"But we aren't from a kingdom."I pointed out. She looked up at me nervously from the phone and told me to ask dad about it before getting up and leaving me by myself. I decided that it probably wouldn't hurt to ask dad about the kingdom thing.

I jogged upstairs to his office before going through the door finding him buried in his work.

"Dad, you mind me asking about the vampire kingdoms?" I asked dropping down in one of the comfy chairs. As I mentioned the kingdom his head flew up and his eyes stared into my soul.

"What about them?" He asked seriously.

"Mom said that vampires risk losing their abilities if they don't belong to a kingdom. If that's actually true, how are we still vampires?"I asked.

He closed book and put down his pen before leaving the room and returning with Shaloma. I was confused with why he decided to bring Shaloma in if it was just a situation of explaining something to me.

"Why'd you bring her in?"I asked.

"This is something that I have to tell you both." He said. " The reason why we can survive outside of our kingdom is because we're royalty and royalty can exist anywhere outside of any kingdom."

"Seriously? How are we royalty?" Asked Shaloma.

"Your grandfather was king of the Hood kingdom. He ruled for a relatively long time until Louis Tomlinson, a duke, overthrew him and enslaved the whole kingdom. He told my mother to take me and Mali and leave the kingdom. Louis killed him as soon as we escaped."he explained.

"Why don't you go back for it?" I asked.

"Because, no one can cross that guy,he practically has eyes behind his head." He said.

"Yeah but-" I was cut off by a blood curdling scream, Rose's scream. Dad dashed out of the room and down the stairs. We followed him with almost the same amount of speed. We found her and a man a little shorter than dad. He had extremely long brown hair and seemed pissed. He was holding Rose up by her throat, choking her.

Rose's pov

I sat at the table waiting for Beauty to come back so I could help her with learning the rules to being a vampire. We've been bonding and I think I actually like her as a daughter.

After a while of texting my life away the doorbell rang. I lay the phone down on the table before approaching the door and swinging it open. As I looked up I saw a face I never thought I'd see again, Harry's. His features were the same and his angry face was all to familiar. It took me a full ten seconds to actually comprehend what was going on.

"H-harry?" I stuttered, "what are you doing here?"

"You think I wouldn't find out." he said with his teeth clenched together.

"I don't know what you're talking about."I mumbled.

"You slept with Josh. Whore."

His best friend. I slept with his best friend. Josh Franceschi. I honestly didn't mean to but he was there for me through the abuse. Before I married Calum he was the one I could go to. I guess it's true when people say what goes around comes around.

"Harry I'm sorry but I- " he slapped me across the face knocking me to the floor.

He pulled me back up by my hair before slapping me again. I pulled and pulled at his hand trying out get loose. Tears trickled down my cheeks as all the years he hurt me flashed before my eyes.

"I tried to make our marriage work Georgia but you couldn't stop being such a prostitute!"he screamed.

He pushed me back against the wall before picking me up by my throat. All air was cut off from my body as I struggled to breathe. I pulled at his hands, I kicked and I tried to scream but he wouldn't put me down.

"Please" I gasped with a bit of the air I had left.

"I love you Georgia! Can't you see that?! Why'd you have to be such a whore?!"he screamed with his grip tightening. Tears began streaming down my face. Was it the end? Was I ever going to be able to see Tyra again? I prayed hard that everything would be fine.

"You were so perfect! What happened?!"

I tried screaming again and this time I was heard. I saw Calum, Beauty and Shaloma dart down the stairs. Calum marched up, pulled him off of me and punched him in the face.

I dropped to the floor and began gasping for air as Beauty and Aurora came to my side, trying to help me. I looked on at both him and Calum scuffling on the floor. Eventually, Harry knocked Calum out before coming towards me. He seemed to be driven by pure madness.

He yanked my head forward and whispered to me, "Don't worry Rosie, I'll be back. And when I come, I'll get rid of him and take you back with me." He let me go before walking nonchalantly out of the house. Psychopath, I thought laying back against the wall.

"Are you ok?" asked Beauty crouching down next to me and eying my red cheek.

"Mostly. I just need an ice pack." I mumbled.

"Why was he calling you Georgia so much?" asked Shaloma.
"Georgia Rose was my first name before I took off the Georgia."

"Why?"

"Something from my past."I then noticed the semi- conscious Calum on the floor. I crawled up to him before sitting and cradling his head in my lap.

"You doing okay?" I asked him running my hand through his hair. I wiped away one of my tears that fell on his forehead.

"Yep, doing perfect." He grunted slowly getting up.

"I'm sorry for all of this. I didn't think he'd be crazy enough to come over here." I said.

"Well he is. Are you okay?"he asked me.

"Yeah , I just need an ice pack."

"I'll have Zayn check you out when him and Regina come back." he then gave me a kiss, "I'm glad you're okay", and got up leaving me on the floor.

I was left to think about what Harry said. I knew he was serious about coming back for me, but 'getting rid' of Calum? Would he actually try to hurt him. I knew he was capable of hurting people but not killing. Would he kill?
