It was late and rain was pouring down out of the gym. Akaashi had been convinced that staying late and practicing with his captain was a good idea. It wasnt. It was now raining cats and dogs and he had to walk home since his parents were in Ireland for the next week.
"Hey, Akaashi, you have to walk home right?" Akaashi turned towards the owl haired captain and nodded. "Hm, yeah." "Do you want me to walk you home? Ya know, with as pretty as you are, you could just get kidnapped." Bokuto ranted, face tomato red. Akaashi laughed and shook his head. "Sure Bokuto-san." "Just Bokuto's alright, ya know." "I know Bokuto-san."After about an hour, they had packed up and we're headed home. "Do you want my umbrella?" Bokuto asked, offering the umbrella by holding it out. "I'm fine Bokuto-san, I can just use my bag." Akaashi said. "Aw, come on 'Kaashi!"
After a long walk with Bokuto walking out in the rain, Akaashi refusing to look at him since he was mad that the captain had talked him into taking the umbrella. "Come on Akaashi! Don't be mad!" Bokuto whined. It was rare for Akaashi to be mad at the black and white haired boy. And when he was, it was normally just to get Bokuto's ass in gear during games.
When they came to Akaashi's doorstep, Akaashi went to take out his key but he didn't have it. He took a deep sigh and glare at the ground. "You forget your key?" Bokuto asked. Akaashi nodded, still mad at him. "Then come with me to my apartment, you can't stay out here all night." That's when Akaashi remembered. Bokuto's parents had moved to America but Bokuto wanted to stay here so he got a job and everything just to stay in Tokyo, which says a lot. "You're to nice Bokuto-san, if anything, you're the one who's going to get kidnapped." Akaashi sighed, taking one of the umbrellas from his front porch and giving Bokuto his back.Arriving at Bokuto's house wasn't that far away as they both thought it would be. It was more or less 10 minutes. As they walked inside, Akaashi finally looked at Bokuto and his eyes widened. Bokuto's hair was no longer in its owl form. It was down and wavey. "I'm going to go change, you can make your self at home." Bokuto said eith a blinding grin before running up the stairs. Akaashi went and sat on the couch and covered his face. Sure, he already though Bokuto was attractive enough but him with his hair down is a different story. And of course, nobody is going to believe him since apparently 'Bokuto never shows his natural hair to anyone, it's like his number one rule for himself.' Akaashi sighed, recalling Komi's words. He was pulled out of his thoughts when he saw a pair of clothes being handed to him. "You can't stay in your school clothes." Akaashi could help but laugh. "Yet again Bokuto'san, you're to nice." The setter said, taking to clothes and standing up. "The bathroom is one the first door to your left by the way!" Bokuto called after him.
After changing and walking back out, Bokuto had asked him if he wanted to watch a movie which Akaashi agreed since even though he loves Bokuto, there's only so much of his rambling he can take. So currently, they were in the middle of the movie.
××(switching to Bokuto's train of thought and stuff)××Bokuto glanced at the setter every once and a while. I mean, who wouldn't? Akaashi was very pretty and beautiful without even trying. So naturally, Bokuto had to look at him. Bokuto noticed at Akaashi's head started nodding like he was about to pass out, which 5 seconds later, he did. His head landed on Bokuto's shoulder, causing Bokuto to let out a tiny squeak. It was already going to be a long night.
When Bokuto woke up the next morning, which was a Friday, Akaashi was already up and getting ready. "You wake up early Akasshi." Bokuto mumbled. "I wake up earlier than this, we missed the whole school day and now we're missing practice." "Eh?!?! How did we sleep for so long?!" "Just hurry Bokuto-san." Akaashi sighed. Bokuto jumped up and grabbed his bag, sad that he couldn't do his hair. "Come on Bokuto-san." Bokuto knew Akaashi hated missing school and being late so he couldn't help but feel bad about it. But Akaashi being Akaashi, noticed this. "It's not your fault Bokuto-san, we both went to sleep at 4 in the morning." Akaashi said, walking over and fixing the mess of black and white hair. "Now cheer up, we have to make it to practice since your captain and I'm vice-captain, who knows what they'll do." Akaashi said, giving him a smile. Bokuto felt like he melted when ever he saw Akaashi's smile or heard his laugh.
"Seriously, where are they? Both of them weren't at scho-" Konoha was cut off by the gym doors opening. "Sorry we're late." Akaashi said, looking back at something. "Bokuto-san, please just come into the gym, we're already late enough." The team tilted their heads to the side, wanting to know why their captain didn't want to enter the gym. "But Akaashi!" Their heard their captain whine. They already knew the look plastered onto Akaashi's face. It was anger. Akaashi never snapped, but when he did, it was like hell. "Koutarou! Just get into the gym before I kick your ass into the gym and not set to you ever again!" Akaashi yelled, pointing his finger into the gym. The whole team held their breath, wanting to know if he made the overly dramatic captain cry. Not even seconds later, their captain ran into the gym. The team was shocked. Out of all the years everyone's known him, he's never had his hair down once infront of them. Not even Kuroo. But now that he suddenly shows up with Akaashi, they knew Akaashi was something special. Plus the fact that Akaashi can deal with Bokuto more than anyone. They watched as Akaashi walked in, he still looked mad so everyone knew he wasn't tossing to Bokuto today.
After practice, Akaashi was still a little mad but not as much as he was earlier. Bokuto had earned to sit out the rest of practice since he was in one of his moods and Akaashi refused to talk to him till after practice. "Bokuto-san, come on." Akaashi said, walking over to him and kneeling infront of him when he didn't get up. "Are you still mad at me?" Akaashi heard a quiet sniffle come from the captain, making his heart want to stop. "No I'm not, you need to stop being so... worried about what people think of your hair." Akasshi said, holding out is hand for Bokuto to take which he did.
When they walked into Bokuto's apartment, Akaashi glanced at the captain who had been silent the whole walk here. Akaashi stopped Bokuto from walking and pulled him into a hug. Akaashi was risking his whole life right now. He really didn't want to be rejected but it was the best move he right st the moment. He felt the arms of the owl boy wrap around his waist and pull him closer if it was possible. Akaashi buried his head in the crook of Bokuto's neck, whispering 'sorry' over and over again. He hated getting mad at Bokuto since it hurts him and Bokuto. Bokuto leaned his head on top of Akaashi and swayed them back and forth. Bokuto pulled back, bringing his hand up to Akaashi's chin and bringing his face close to the younger's. "Is it okay if I kiss you?" Bokuto asked. Akaashi rolled his eyes and pressed his own lips to Bokuto's. Bokuto could feel him smiling against his own probably chapped lips. They pulled back and Akaashi looked up at Bokuto with the most dorkiest smile ever. Bokuto fell in love with this smile right away and kissed the corner of Akaashi's mouth before kissing his lips again. Only Bokuto would know this side of Akaashi and right now, he was perfectly okay with that.
