Scars

A/N: Not relevant but I like this song for Janny ^w^ as well as Beauty of Dawn by Malukah. This one ties in with how she got this first scar

-Janny's POV-

I was talking with my new friend Daenerys, aka the Mother of Dragons and the Breaker of Chains, about our various adventures.

"Janny, what happened under your eye?" Daenerys asked me, pointing to the scar just beneath my right eye.

"Oh, this? I thought I explained it to you..." I sighed.

"You told me about the other two. But not that one," Daenerys looked at me expectantly.

"Fine, I guess I can tell you... but it's a long story..." I said, before beginning my story...

-Flashback-

It was a year ago. I was adventuring with my late father, Garrett, in Skyrim. We decided to check out a Dwarven ruin just for the hell of it, and hey, I wanted to find some treasures.

We battled all kinds of Dwarven technology, Spiders, Spheres, Ballista's... we even fought Falmer and Chaurus together.

But then the last room held a Centurian Master. Those things are powerful and deadly, and can probably kill someone almost instantly with its steam.

My father and I fought valiantly, until right before I could land a critical blow, it hit me right in my right eye. I got knocked back several feet and my father immediately kept attacking it with his signature weapon: his lightsaber.

I remember getting up and almost falling back down, that's when I saw the blood dripping from my eye. I looked at my reflection in a nearby pool and saw the mark just below my eye, dripping with blood.

I knew that I had to keep fighting, and help my dad defeat the abomination.

With all of my remaining magicka, I shot all the ice I could at the Centurian and froze it. My dad then shattered it into a million pieces.

My dad has been dead for some time but. But he still lives with me. Just like my scar...

I finished my story and looked at Daenerys. She was staring at me for a moment, then she gently touched the scar. I flinched a bit but then relaxed.

"I could only imagine what you went through..." Daenerys spoke quietly, tracing the scar.

"Believe me Dany, I've been through worse," I said jokingly. She laughed and I laughed with her.

I'm glad to have Daenerys as a friend now. She's one of the only people who knows the stories behind my scars.
