Chapter 13: The Invasion

Luna watched as her mate worked on plans. He had been promoted to the royal army, he was just ranked under his father and her brother. He was working on a strategy for the invasion they would do on the Tetsukian raiders. He was given a room inside of the castle for an  office, although he preferred to work in Luna's room. 

She looked over his shoulder, "What do you have so far?"

"I have the regular positions but we don't know if they've moved already. No more spies have returned since they last left, its not a good sign." He sighed putting a hand on his forehead. Luna hugged his neck and looked over at the map, "It's the best lead we have to go on."

He growled affectionately and looked back so he could nuzzle her neck, "Ever think about having pups? Not now of course but, in the future when you're older." 

"Mhm." Luna yipped, "All of my friends are starting to get pregnant left and right. Have you heard any news about Lily?"

"Willow and Shade had to separate them, Lynx was still being too aggressive." Kyro replied, "He was mad that his pups would be 'half filthy commoner.'" 

Luna frowned, "Lily isn't a filthy commoner I think she looks pretty. White fur with orange splotches, not to mention her green and blue eyes." 

"He wanted his pups to be royalty, sucks for him." Kyro replied erasing one of his moves. "When did you... first start liking me?"

Luna stepped away from him and sat on her bed, "Well I always had a puppy crush on you even when we were little. I got a full crush when you saved me from those kidnappers. It hurt a lot when I thought you were killed..."

"I'm sorry, I never meant to put you through that." Kyro whispered standing up. He walked over to her bed and hugged her, "Everything's fine now." 

"If you finish your plans and make it fool-proof I'll let you cuddle for as long as you want~." Luna purred rubbing her ears under his chin. His ears perked up and within moments he was back at his desk writing furiously. Luna chuckled and stretched her wings. "Everyone is growing up, Carrie and Aliak both have mates now."

The bed pressed down and Kyro hauled his mate to his chest. She looked up and wagged her tail, "That was quick."

"I had a important goal." He whispered flustered. Luna licked his chin, her ears pricked up when she heard a knock on her door. Kyro put a hand over her mouth and made her lye still. "What if it's important?" Luna whispered quietly.

"If it is, the messenger will leave a note.." He whispered back then went back to rubbing his face against her scruff. A note slid under the door and Luna looked at him with a smug look. Kyro stood up, "Son of a bitch." He growled quietly walking to the note. 

The white allakai laughed as her mate walked back to their bed while reading the note. His eyes widened and he looked at her, "Well I don't need my raid plans anymore."

"Why not?" She asked.

"They're already here, there's around forty of them wearing masks." He said grabbing her by the waist. He threw her over his shoulder and walked over to her closet, Luna bat at his back with her hands, "What are you doing?!"

"Keeping you out of trouble, wait here." He ordered giving her a quick ear lick before dropping her into the closet and closing the door. Luna whined and whimpered and scratched at the door, he was holding onto the knob but she knew how to get it open. Her whines grew louder and she smirked when she heard a groan from the other side, "Stop your whining drives me nuts."

He opened the door and hugged her. Luna looked up at him and gave puppy eyes. Kyro frowned and looked at her, "Stay close to me, if you die I will kill you."
