So here it goes. The begining of his story, and the beginning of a twisted fate.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not saying that I feel my life is cursed with bad luck, but it sure as hell feels like it. Buckets of paint falling on me, mirrors breaking without me even touching them, tripping over air, and many more. Oh, right, forgot about the formalities. Hi there, I'm Charlie Long, I'm 16 and my life is filled with the worst luck you could ever imagine. So far today, I haven't had any thing bad happen to me, but I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not. I shrugged the strap of my book bag back onto my shoulder, and continued my walk back to my house. "The air feels weird today, grandpa," a little boy said to an older man sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of his shop.
"Maybe the White Tiger is upset with us," the old man said looking up towards my mother's shrine. In this city, people worshiped my mother and her abilities, but they also fear her for being apart of the Order of the 4. "What can we do, grandpa?" the boy asked worried. The grandpa shook his head,"All we can do is pray for forgiveness and hope the White Tiger is okay." They bowed their heads and began praying when a crack of lightning and a roll of thunder sounded and shook the entire city of Mayfield, Maine.
(Note: Not a real city in maine..... I think)
The crack of lightning was continuous in one place, and that was above my house. "You need to get inside," I yelled over to the grandpa and grandson. They nodded and did as told while I began to full out sprint towards the house/shrine. This has never happened before, except for this one time when mom and the Blue Dragon had a sparring match while having their meeting about world events and the Black Turtle. My mom only talks about him all the time, and says they were best friends even if the Black Turtle was out casted from the Order. When I made it to the house, mom was in her Ultimate Battle Spirit and was fighting the only dreaded person who wasn't allowed to be mentioned in the entire shrine. The Red Cobra.
"You shall not desecrate this area, you sick bastard! Leave now or face the final judgement of the White Tiger!" My mom yelled angrily pointing her spear out at him, the white ball of light already forming at the end. Her Ultimate Battle Spirit, made her look more like a tiger, with black stipes scratching down her face and arms. Her scarlet hair, that was usually touching the ground, was weaved into multiple braids, and a white ribbon floated around her head and wrapped arpund her arms. She wore a black steel armored chestplate and matching gauntlets and boots, and she wore a white leather skirt. Even though my mom is really pretty, she isn't in the best mood and looks really pissed.
The man, who was supposedly the Red Cobra, smirked,"But, Emmaline, I'm here to recruit you to the dark side. We can be rulers of this world!" My mom shot the ball of light at him, and continuously attacked him, barely giving him time to parry or counter. "Why the hell would I ever join you?! The goals that you are working towards are absolutely insane, and can lead to mass destruction and death!" She yelled at him. The Red Cobra had finally had enough, and sent a slash of his sword at my mom, cutting her shoulder and making her change back into her normal clothes and her spear clanking on the floor. I hid outside of the shrine's entrance when I saw the Red Cobra heading towards my mom's direction. He made tsk noise and said,"You've made a very bad mistake. Now, I have to take away your powers and end you for good." My mom sat silent as he approached closer, but at the last second she did something absolutely crazy. She stabbed herself with her spear and pulled something out of her side, a metal rod, and she snapped it in half, releasing a gold fog into the air and out the door towards me. "NO!" The Red Cobra yelled. "It's too late now," my mom coughed up blood,"the White Tiger's power has set off to find it's new holder, and a worthy one to be exact." He grabbed my mother's chin and said,"I shall have my revenge against the Order. The Blue Dragon shall fall, and the Black Turtle........ she can be of use to me." My mom head-butted him and shouted,"Leave Tyler's daughter out of this! She's unstable and you won't be able to control her so easily, trust me! I've been the one training her and she knows not to tread easily when it comes to you!"
"Exactly," The Red Cobra said standing back up,"She can be re-trained and molded into the perfect soldier along with the next White Tiger. So, I'll leave you here to die, while I go and handle my buisness." With that, he disappeared into a puff of red smoke. As soon as he was gone, I ran into the shrine,"Mom!" She glanced up at me and smiled,"I see that the," she paused to cough up blood,"the White Tiger found you." I placed my hand over my mouth and then pulled it off slowly. Tears dropped onto her face, and she reached up and wiped them off my cheeks,"Now why are you crying, silly boy? There's nothing to be sad about, Charlie. I want you to know that I love you and even though you didn't ask for this, you are the only person who can take over and with the help of the Black Turtle's daughter, you can defeat Red Cobra," she coughed again,"Avenge me and rid this world of that crazy man." She kissed my forehead and laid back down on the floor. "Mom... please don't leave me," I cried. "Charlie, go to Austin, Texas. Find a girl named Anna Ramon, she............ she is...." Mom slowly closed her eyes and her hand fell from my face. She died. My crimson hair fell over my eyes, covering them from the scene. I balled my fists and stood up, grabbing my bag in the process. I walked across the plot of land and to the house, and started shoving clothes into my duffel bag. As soon as I was finished, I decided that I wouldn't be coming back, but I was too traumatized to try and bury my mom. So, I took a bunch of gasoline and poured it all over the shrine, the house and my mom.
I struck a match, said my final good byes and tossed it onto my mother. When I made it to the bottom of the stairs that led to the shrine, the entire place was up in flames, and the people had already started to swarm around the entrance. The cries had hushed and the whispers arose, and now, since I had my mom's power, I could hear them clearly. "Isn't that Lady Emmaline's son?"
"Did he burn the shrine?"
I sighed and continued on my way, even if their stares and whispers were burning into me. "Anna Ramon........." I said aloud to myself, and grinned,"A new adventure begins."
