There was once two blue birds. Everyday they would sing songs together is the park. They were always together in that park everyday and everything seemed perfect.
One morning when one of the blue birds awoke to go sing with his fellow blue bird, she wasn't there. She was no where to be found and this angered the blue bird. He didn't know why his friend would abandon him. But the blue bird still waited for her. Many days past but she never came.
On the same morning, which wasn't really all that similar, one of the blue birds awoke to go sing with her fellow blue bird that she loved more that anything... but she could not leave for she had been confined to a metal box constructed of only silver bars. The blue bird didn't know where she had been taken or how to escape to find her beloved. She searched many days for an answer. Humans, who she feared so much, brought her seed and water every day. Not being able to see the one blue bird that she secretly loved oh so much made her sad.
Every night they would sing their favorite song, hoping that one would hear the other. Nothing was heard. The trapped blue birds voice was to horse from crying so much and the free blue birds voice was filled with anger and frustration on every note.
After many months the free blue bird started to lose hope in ever seeing his friend ever coming back. This made his so angry. He thought that since she just left without warning, without a good bye, that he ment nothing to her. So he left the park. He flew away from all the memories him and the other blue bird made in that beautiful park and wished never to come back, a single tear falling to the ground. He misses her... but none of that matters to him now.
After many months the trapped blue bird had been set free! Humans in brown button-up shirts and hats had come and yelled that the scary human that had trapped her and in the end, the humans dressed in brown set her free. She flew as fast as she could to get to the park, tears of joy falling at the thought of getting to see her beloved blue bird again.
When the joyful blue bird got to the park the other blue bird was not there. The flowers around the bench which they sat at had wilted and the wood of the bench had become mossy and a spider web fell from the arm of the bench to one of the wilted flowers. She could tell that her friend had not been there for months.
The tears of happiness had turned into cries and sobs of pure and utter sadness and dred. The blue bird didn't know what to do but sit on the bench.
The blue bird knew that her beloved fellow blue bird may never return but she still sat on the bench, waiting... and waiting... and waiting. She refused to leave. She wanted to believe that her loved one would come back to sing with her.
Months passed and she still waited.
Years passed and she still waited.
Rain or shine. Snow or hail. She was always there.
The blue bird died waiting for the other blue bird that she loved more than anything. She died sad, cold, alone, and without a duet to sing with the only bird she ever loved. The blue bird wanted to confess her love to him and sing their duet but he never returned.
