My name is Maya Clearwater,and I am a super ( I'll explain later). My family has been taken by the government, and I must find them. "Why did the government take them?", you may ask... Well, we Supers are despised by the government because of our powers. As a super, you develop powers at the age of 15. You could have any power, it doesn't even matter what your parents' powe rs are... powers are totally based on your personality. In my case, I can turn invisible. My mother has flying powers, my father controls fire, and my older brother can manipulate light. My mother, well, she always has her head in the clouds, litterally and figuratively, my father has a "hot temper" and well.. Let's just say DO NOT make him angry. My brother is always happy, and I mean so happy it's annoying. He's like a ray of sunshine...literally . I mean he can bend light. Then there's me, I'm more of the quiet type and some people don't even notice me. So that's why I can turn invisible. I discovered my powers at school. I was walking to my next class when the popular girl decided to bump into me and just walk away. It was then when I wanted to actually be invisible to take revenge on her. When I next looked down my books were floating in mid air. Then I was back to normal, just like that. Then it hit me...literally. My brother pushed me out onto the courtyard, and into his car. He seemed flustered so I asked him,
" What the heck was that for?!? We're going to get in trouble if we cut class!"
" Mom and Dad need to know you got your powers", he said.
"My what!?"
"Powers", he sighed," Mom and Dad will explain".
The rest of the ride was dead silent. When we got home my brother, Justin, screamed out to our parents,
" MOM DAD, MAYA GOT HER POWERS!" Both of them came down the steps in a frantic way.
"WHAT!" they both screamed.
" Maya,your Father and I are going to tell you something life changing that you can never tell another human being, EVER. We are Supers and...."
That is how I found out I was a Super. That very night my family was taken. I managed to become invisible in time, so that they never found me, but now my family is gone and I must find them. My mom explained bout the Government, and I know it was them. Now I must find them, and I don't care what I have to do to do it. That is where my life started to change, even more than getting my powers, because now I have to use them.
