I shot my eyes wide open.
My vision was blurry.
Orange.
I saw fire.

My chest burned as I tried to breathe.

Running... yelling.
There was something in me.
It was a piece of metal
that had jabbed me in my ankle.
I sat up, not able to move my foot.
I started to cry softly.
I tried to pull it out,
but winched at the pain.
I observed my surroundings a little more,
with hot tears flowing down my cheeks.
My friends... I must find them too!
