Thanks to Liam, I'd had gotten home alright with Jakob. He told me that since Harry hadn't kept his promise to Niall about getting to see me today, that the boys will drop by for a quick visit before they go do their concert at the O2. I, of course, agreed and have been here, in my flat, for about 3 hours. I put Jakob down in his crib a while ago. He was probably more exhausted than me, because Louis said that he had stayed up majority of the night staring at the door, waiting to see if I'd be the one to come in.

I settled down on my bed and let the recent events cloud my mind.

I was stabbed. Liam saved me. Jakob is legally my godson. Jasmine's.... gone. And the crazy masked arse whole is still on the loose.

Sighing, I laid back down slowly on my bed. And that's when I started to feel the headache come on. I closed my eyes and tried to get some shut eye.

It was early in the morning and I had just woken up. This was rare since I hardly ever wake up early. I had made myself some tea, trying to warm up after my shower in my new bathroom and mingled around my new apartment. Everything finally seemed like it was falling in place. Finally. I settled down onto my couch as Wi-fi made her spot on the space against my hip. Her little 2 month old paws kneading the soft texture of my new couch. I inhaled deeply and looked around at my new life. In front of me was my flat screen. A fireplace under it. To my left was the balcony doors that let me have a great view of London's busy streets. And on my right was the staircase that lead to my bedroom. Under the stairs was the hallway that lead to the laundry room, guest bedroom, bathroom, and my brother's room. Behind me was a kitchen fit for the queen, and a dining room in the room next to it. Everything was so new, it was unbelievable. I let my head rest up back against the couch. I was startled when I heard keys jingle in the front door lock. I looked over at the front door, my wet hair swishing as my head turned. The door opened, only to reveal my bubbly brother, John.

Something was up though, since he was more bubbly than normal. I smiled as he set his satchel and keys on the little table right next to the door.

"What's got you all up and bright at 9:30 in the morning?" I asked.

"Something I'm very proud to say that I found out today." I looked at him expectantly. He just looked at me innocently as he sat on the recliner on the other side of the couch I was on.

"Well aren't you gonna tell me? Obviously I want to know you dimwit." He grinned and reached for his back pocket. He pulled out a letter that was all white with a certain symbol on the top right corner. I looked up at him, shocked.

"It's not really what I think it is.... Is it?" I asked anxious, yet excited. He just nodded.

"Well keep going Jess! If you want to find out, it's right in front of you stupid." I stuck my tongue out at him and looked back down at the envelope. I carefully flipped it over, only to find the already ripped flap. I lifted it up and took out the paper. I unfolded it, and read what was written in fancy writing.

Dear Mr. John Collins,

Congratulations. We have looked over your portfolio and made a decision that it would be a great honor to have you serve for the forces. We will be looking forward to your call to confirm your acceptance, and will be waiting for you. Remember, it's always an honor to protect and serve you country.

- British Armed Forces

I stared awe struck at the paper. When I looked up, John was smiling brightly at me. I looked back down at the paper, then back up at him, and started jumping up and down. I pulled him out of his seat and into a hug.

"You've worked so hard for this. I'm proud of ya. Have you made your decision?" I asked. He looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Are you demented or something? You just said it yourself! I worked so hard for this! Of course I said yes!"
