Chilly weather, vacations ending, kids getting supplies ready. This is the time of year when school starts up again. For younger kids, it is a chance to have new and fun adventures. For teens, just going back to a place where they will be held five of the seven days of the week for eight consecutive hours of the day. The only thing they really enjoy about school though, is that they get to see their friends again, even though they could have seen them over the summer.

The morning of the first day back to school, a certain raven haired boy was getting all his stuff together to go to school.

"Zayn, you about ready? You're gonna be late for school," the seventeen year old heard a familiar voice call from downstairs.

"I'm coming, Mom," he called. He grabbed his now prepared backpack and headed out of his room and to his car.

The car wasn't brand new or anything to really brag about, but it was a nice car. His parents bought it for him for his birthday back in January. He didn't complain that it wasn't anything fancy. He knows how hard his parents work and to just be able to have his own car, he was grateful.

He climbed into the driver's seat and placed his old, worn out backpack in the back seat. (He had another friend to go pick up so he left the seat to his right open.) He put the keys in the ignition and started up the car before making his way to his friend's house.

On the way, he was left to his thoughts. He hadn't seen his friend Liam in three months, seeing as Liam was away on a trip with his family for the summer. Of course they had texted and Skyped a few times, but mostly Zayn was left to himself. Good thing he was, in his mind. Zayn had had a very confusing summer. The details of it aren't really important right now. We will get to that part a little later in the story.

About ten minutes later, Zayn had reached Liam's house. He knew that they were running a little late, so instead of the usual going inside to get him, he just honked the horn.

Not long after, a brown haired lad, looking about seventeen, walked out of the house, a new backpack on his shoulder. He walked over to the car and didn't hesitate to get in. It was just a usual thing for them.

"Hey, Z. Good to see you again, lad," Liam said as he got himself settled in the passenger's seat.

Zayn smiled and nodded. "Good to see you too, Liam. How was your summer?" He asked as he drove away from the house and toward the school.

Liam smiles brightly. "It was great. We went all around the country. We went to LA, New York, Chicago. Man, we were everywhere. I even got to go to Disney World and Disney Land."

Zayn chuckled and said to his friend "You're seventeen and you still get obsessed over Disney stuff?"

Liam looked shocked before he said to him, "Yeah. Disney is great. I'll never stop watching them."

"You act like an adult and you still watch kids movies." Zayn said to himself s she he shook his head.

When they finally reached the school, people were still gathered outside, showing that school hadn't started yet, which was a good thing for the boys. They didn't want to be late on their first day.

They both got out of the car and headed inside the school. They hadn't even been inside the school two minutes when a male voice was heard calling their names.

"Liam! Zayn! Wait up!"

Zayn smiled. He could already tell who he was waiting on just by the sound of his voice. "We're waiting, Louis!"

Not even thirty seconds later, all three of them were in a group hug. "I missed seeing you guys." Louis said. "The summer was so boring without you all."
