The door creaks open and the someone walks in and closes the door. He is dressed in all black but has a gold band around his finger.

'What... Why would a married man do this?' Susan thought, screwing her eyes up in concentration.

"Be-" He was cut off by Mary whacking him in the head. Lake rushing over and checks his pulse, something she learnt by practice.

"Still alive." She huffed, breathing a sigh of relief. She and Sapphire each grabbed a leg and pulled him into the girls bathroom, locking the door using his keys.

"We got him!" Sapphire called and waved her hand in the air, whooping and high-fiving random girls.

"Saph, come on!" Mary yelled impatiently, holding the door open. Sapphire followed Lake and Harriet out the door. They let the sunlight wash over their faces what the first time in months. Harriet breathed in the deep smell of freshly mowed grass. 'Why would they mow the grass? You know what? I don't care!' She wondered. Lake took the lead and silently trotted to the other side of the corridor and used her arm to peek around the corner. She signalled using the 'all clear' sign and Harriet copied Lakes' first movements, then Mary, the Sapphire, the youngest of the all, and finally Susan. One by one, this is how they made it almost to the door leading outside.

"Shit." Lake cursed under her breath.

"What?" Susan whispered from the back.

"Nothing, Mary, pass me your bed post," Lake replied. Mary handed her the weapon. Lake raised over her head and nearly brought it down when it was knocked out of her hands by a thin, small boy who looked to be about twelve. He had sandy brown hair and nerd glasses which he was just pushing up.

"Hi! I'm Collin!" He said, his voice sound way too deep for his age and shattering the silence around them.

Meanwhile, Angelica, the 3 other girls and the 4 other boys were lead out of the weird office and into a warehouse type room with a podium set up in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and filled with more men like those who kidnapped them. A door opened and eight more people filed in. Gemma ran up to Angelica and wrapped her arms around her neck. A man stood on the first platform and dragged Hazel to his side.

"Fiesty, small and named Hazel." He stated, reading off a piece of paper in a bored manner, holding the struggling girl by the arm. Another stuck his hand in the air and shouted

"500!" Soon everyone was trying to beat his number.

"750!"

"1000!"

"1250!"

"1500!" A young gentleman called out.

"Going once! Going twice! Gone!" the man preventing Hazel from escaping yelled. When no-one replied, he picked Hazel up and threw her to the buyer. She screamed a piercing scream as she fell into his arms. All the blood drained from Angelicas' face. The same man grabbed her arm.

"Calm, shy and named Angelica!" He shouted over the conflict in the crowd.

"1000!" Someone in the midst said. And Angelica was sold. She watched as Gemma wriggled and squirmed, trying to free herself from the sellers iron grip, failing the entering time until she, too, was sold for £1000. The rest of the day went in a blur until Angelica found herself in a bedroom in the attic wearing a maids' uniform.

However, for Gemma, it was different. She can recall everything that happened after she was sold. Joanna was bought for £750, Tom for £1250, Kylie for £500, Micheal for £1750, and so on. The man who bought Gemma gave her to a stylist who did her extremly messy hair and cleaned her up a bit so it wouldn't seem as though she was kidnapped and left to starve for a month or two. In the end, she was in the same position Angelica was in. She wondered what the others would be doing right now.
